Shweta Khadka organized a musical night titled ‘Kanchhi Musical Night’ for the fund raising of the Majhi Basti, being constructed in Sindhupalchowk. The residential area is being developed by Shweta Shree Foundation, a foundation registered in memory of actor Shree Krishna Shresta. Shree had died a month after marrying Shweta.

In the event organized in Annapurna Hotel in Durbar Marg, senior choreographer, Basanta Kumar Shrestha was given Rs. 51,000 and life-time achievement honour. In the event the members of Shweta Shree Foundation, various film artists and ‘Kanchhi’ film team. There were a total of about three hundred guests.
Comedy artist Basundhara Bhuwal and Menuka Thapa of Rakshya Nepal were also honoured at the event. Film editor Bhupendra Adhikari and the active member of Majhai Basti construction, Yagaraj Karki were also honoured.
The musician of the popular song ‘Chari Chatta Pari’, Rajan Raj Siwakoti was awarded a motorbike for the success of the song. Ashishma Nakarmi, Jebika Karki, Marishka Pokharel, Binod Neupane and Akash Adhikari had danced on the stage.
Comedy artists Jitu Nepal and Sandeep Chhetri did stand-up comedy, comedy poet Shailendra Simkhada had also performed on stage. Singers Dharmendra Sewan, Yuwaraj Chaulagain, and Mandabi Tripati sang the title song of the movie.
Present in the event were actresses Bhuwan Chand, Chaitya Devi Singh, artists Nir Shah, Harihar Sharma, Gauri Malla, Karishma Manandhar, Dayahang Rai, Dr. Bhola Rijal etc. Ex COA Kukmangad Katuwal, Ramesh Kharel, athlete Deepak Bista and others were also present in the event.
The Majhi Basti is being constructed and Shweta’s comeback movie ‘Kanchhi’ is releasing in two weeks.
