WikiLeaks down in US and Europe, Sarah Palin wants US to hunt Assange like Osama bin Laden

WikiLeaks website couldn’t be opened in the US and Europe today. WikiLeaks official said that the site was under a forceful internet-based attack causing site to be inaccessible to the users in U.S. and Europe. A British newspaper, Dailymail, reports that the current attack is most likely coming from China. Earlier, it was reported that China has blocked the website within the country.

Various political leaders have wished to punish the 39 year-old founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange for releasing the confidential diplomatic documents.

The former Alaska governor, Sarah Palin, has demanded that Assange be hunted down like Osama bin Laden. She was outraged with the White House for ‘incompetent handling of this whole fiasco.’ A Canadian PM advisor was even harsher in an interview yesterday telling, he would like Assange killed.

In the meantime, the U.S. has opened a criminal investigation into whether Aaaange could be charged under its Espionage Act for releasing secret/classified diplomatic documents. The U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder, said WikiLeaks has jeopardized the security of the nation, its diplomats, intelligence assets, and US relationships with foreign governments.

With the whole world against a single site, WikiLeaks.org might not survive for long. I wish they would at least release some documents related to Nepal before quitting.

All the best WikiLeaks and Julian Assange!

Note: I was able to open the site in Canada, after multiple attempts. There is no Nepal related release as of yet.
