Today is the big day for the Nepali film and entertainment industry. For the first time, Nepali actress, Priyanka Karki is making the Red Carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival, France.
On May 21, 2019 Priyanka wrote, “Making my first red carpet appearance tonight and lord knows how excited I am. This is huge for all of us and I promise to make you guys proud!” She also shared a pass showing “Gisaengghung de Bong Joon-ho”.
Gisaengchung is a South Korean drama film directed by Bong Joon-ho.
The current Cannes Film Festival is the 72nd edition of the festival. On the arrival day, Priyanka participated in World Peace Night program. In the program she flaunted a gown. But, it was a surprise because it was the gown another actress, Namrata Shrestha, had worn in a program held in Kathmandu.
A comment – “You are on Cannes right? Atleast you should have designed a new cloth or an new style . What does it represent to wear a same dress already used by another celebrity?? It doesn’t even look like copied bt the same dress used twice.”
About Priyanka’s obsession towards Priyanak Chopra’s style at the Cannes, one of her followers commented: “To the ones saying she’s following Priyanka Chopra’s profile, maybe she’s just a huge fan of hers and had always dreamt of going to Cannes and taking pictures just like her Idol. Just like, “Oh, how I wish I would go there and click pictures just like PC, she’s so stunning!” We do that, right? It might be disappointing in some ways, but she’s a human being after all. She deserves to do whatever she wants and breathe peacefully. I think it’s high time we support people who take our country’s name to whole another level.
No offense on the ones who aren’t liking it. Just put down some “constructive” criticism despite of some comments that can break the person’s heart and let them down.”
That sure makes sense.
Let’s forget her shortcomings and focus on the strength and help her make us proud!
Thank you Priyanka Karki!
