The governments won’t let it happen but, the information technology is doing its best to make the world a borderless place. The Western cultural influence has been more evident in the Nepal these days. After the widespread popularity of Christmas, Halloween has also gained some grounds these days. The festival of ghost and scare, Halloween is fun festival for children and adults alike. With the general public some celebrities have also celebrated Halloween this year. Halloween is a festival of remembering the dead people in the family. It is celebrated by the people of Christian faith. But, because of the fun aspects of the festival, people of other religion also celebrate it in Western countries. Costumes, candies and Trick-or-Treating is more like the combination of our Deusi – Bhailo in Tihar and Gaijatra festival.
Nepali actresses Keki Adhikari, Reema Bishowkarma, Benisha Hamal and actor Anup Bikram Shahi shared photos of Halloween in Facebook.
Actress Neeta Dhungana also wished everybody a happy Halloween. Neeta however didn’t shared any photos with costume on.
Actor Rajesh Hamal is currently in the USA to participate in a cultural program in Salt Lake City. He had also shared photos of kids celebrating Halloween in actress Jal Shah‘s home.
Actor and director Dinesh DC is currently in USA at San Antonio, Texas. DC was dressed like a police officer – a fashion police for Halloween.
