International Indigenous Film Festival started in Kathmandu

7th Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival (NIIFF) has started in Kathmandu on Thursday April 25. The festival organized by Indigenous Film Archive (IFA) will continue till April 28, 2013 in City Hall and Nepal Tourism Board Kathmandu.

The focus of this year’s Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival (NIIFF) 2013 is ‘Equal Access and Participation of Indigenous Peoples in Media’.

The organizer, Indigenous Film Archive (IFA), a nonprofit organization, was established in 2006 by a group of indigenous film makers, film journalists, artistes/actors, sociologists and activists. The organization was conceived with a dream of supporting indigenous peoples and nationalities to conserve and promote their languages, cultural practices, skills, knowledge and wisdom.
