22 years old Asmi Shrestha of Kathmandu has won the Miss Nepal 2016 title this year. In an event held in Hotel Annapurna on April 8, 2016, Asmi was crowned the new Miss Nepal. Miss Nepal 2015, Evana Manandhar crowned Ashmi the new 2016 version of the crown.

One of the 19 contestants, Ashmi was the contestant number 11. The 5 feet and 6 inches tall beauty was also the winner of Face of Classic Diamond 2014.

The first runner up title went to Roshani Khatri. The new Miss Nepal Earth 2016 is 5 feet and 8 inches tall. The second runner up is the representative of Tharu community – Barsha Lekhi. Barsha, the Miss Nepal International 2016, is 22 years old, 5 feet and 6 inches tall beauty.
