The prime minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to meet some well known Bollywood actors and producers in New Delhi. The meeting is being held in coordination with the Nepal Embassy in New Delhi with the help of Bollywood actress of Nepali origin, Manisha Koirala.

According to a report in the Times of India, Oli will meet actor Jackie Shroff, director Subash Ghai, producers and other well known Bollywood personalities.

According to reports, KP Oli will discuss about the possibility of the shooting of Bollywood movies in Nepal and developing the country a the touristic destination. In the last few years, Nepal has been a preferred destination for Bollywood film shooting. But, the lack of proper film studio has always been a hurdle in developing it has a credible destination.

KP Oli had talked about developing film studios in mid-western area, away from the previously proposed location in Dolkha. His statement had been controversial as the locals of Dolkha had protested Oli’s statement. Video report (January 2016):
