‘Antaral’ details
The Nepali movie ‘Antaral’ is a presentation of Jibansathi Films directed by a female director Deepa Basnet. The movie was the winner of Best Director award in the National Films Award in 2013, Jury Award at CG Kamana Films Award in 2071, official selection at the Dhaka International Film Festival in 2013, Best Debut Director award at Filmykhabar D Cine Award 2070 and Popular Debut Actress award at the Online Filmykhabar Award 2071. The movie features the story and screenplay of Abhimanyu Nirabi, concept of Jibansathi Basnet, music of Shashi Bikram Thapa, cinematography of Shiva Ram Shrestha, editing by Ashim Chitrakar / Buddha Ratna Maharjana. The movie is about various destinations of life of four young boys. ‘Antaral’ was released in theater on May 17, 2013.
The director of the movie Dipa Basnet became the first female director in the Nepali film industry to direct two movies after directing ‘Shree Paanch Ambare’. After Dipa another director – Samjhana Upreti Rauniyar had also directed two movie.
The movie also features the first Miss Nepal – Ruby Rana.
