‘Prove me sick’ Richa Sharma challenges Chhakka Panja team’s attacks

Actress Richa Sharma has responded to the attack of ‘Chhakka Panja’ team about her statement about the content of the movie. Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula, Priyanka Karki and Swastima Khadka had jointly posted a statement telling that the actress is sick and they have sent “get well soon.” message. All four of them have copied and posted the same message that reads:

One actress has told that the viewers who watch and clap in our film are fools … “Dear actress, because you say the viewers are fools, your movies had never got viewers…” Get well soon!

Watch the video first:

In response to the the statement by the film makers and the actresses of ‘Chhakka Panja 2’ (Note: Swostima wasn’t in the first movie that Richa referred in the talk.), Richa has challenged them to prove that she is sick.

Did Richa say “viewers are fool”?

No, she didn’t.

What she said was, “We, including me, are hypocrites. While we say something and do something else.” That is not a definition of being a fool.

Now, is Richa mentally ill?

I don’t think so. She is just a female activist and a lot of other female activist had told the same. It is just that, the film makers like Deepak and Deepa doesn’t need to listen to them or follow their advice.

I believe, making films or any other entertainment material shouldn’t be restricted to social norms or restrictions. They should be free to say what they want to say and of course, people like Richa can talk about it. But, the final decision to like or dislike of the art should be left to the viewers.

Did ‘Chhakka Panja’ do anything wrong?

No, it didn’t.

Any form of art, whether it is film or painting or poem are prepared for public. If the public liked it, the art is good. If they don’t like it and reject it by either not watching or not buying it, the art is not good. The by-standars can’t decide on if it is good or bad.

People paid to watch ‘Chhakka Panja’ and made it successful. It became hit because people liked it. If people liked it, nobody else should decide what should have been done in it. They can give their opinions like Richa did.

And, the makers like Deepak and Deepa shouldn’t be attacking people like Richa who told she didn’t like the film.

To summarize:

  • ‘Chhakka Panja’ was done right. It was a great movie and people loved it. People paid to watch it and enjoy it.
  • Richa Sharma is right in her place. She didn’t like the movie, it was her problem, not that of Deepak or Deepa or Priyanka or Swastima.
  • Deepak and Deepa are NOT right to attack Richa just because she didn’t like a hit movie.
  • All the concerned parties, Richa Sharma, Deepak Raj Giri and Deepa Shree Niraula should go to court and make the final decision. Crowd doesn’t make good decisions.

Please comment.

UPDATE Actress Rekha Thapa came in support of Richa Sharma and has termed the team of Deepa and Deepak couldn’t rise above the ‘Jokar’ status. (The screenshot is taken from filmykhabar online)
