Actor Anmol KC has become the heartthrob of young Nepali movie crowd today. Having debuted in teenage drama ‘Hostel’ in 2013, the young actor aspires to make it big in the Nepali film industry. So far, four movies of the actor have released. It is a record in itself as all of them had been box office success.
This list of five things, that most people don’t know about him, were first published in English daily in 2014. As, the original post is already deleted, I am sharing this for record at the time his fifth movie is about to release in February.
HE LOVES INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
Techno and house music are Anmol’s favorites. He doesn’t like listening to songs. “If a music piece has lyrics, I get bored and lose concentration. But if it’s an instrumental piece, I enjoy it to the fullest,†he reveals.
THERE’S A STORY BEHIND HIS GOOD-LOOKING HAIR
Many people may fall for Anmol’s hair right now, but he has an embarrassing story behind it. “I remember the six-year-old me sitting in garden with friends. A mischievous friend of mine dipped a paper plane in petrol, set fire on it and threw it toward me,†he reminisces. His hair caught fire, but fortunately he didn’t get hurt thanks to a neighbor who sprung into action and poured a bucket of water on him immediately. “But my hair was a mess, so I had to completely shave it off,†he says. Fortunately, the hair that grew back looked even more dazzling, he remembers.
HE WANTS TO REVISIT THE COUNTRIES HE HAS ALREADY BEEN TO
He loves travelling and has been to over 30 countries with his parents. But he doesn’t remember half the places he’s visited as he was very young when he travelled there. “Now that I’ve grown up, I want to revisit all those places again and treasure the memories for a lifetime,†he shares.
Addition: After the release of ‘Dreams’ Anmol and Bhuwan KC visited countries like Australia, UK and other countries in Europe. In 2017, Anmol and Bhuwan went to the USA. He was also awarded best actor award in the USA.
COLLECTING COINS IS HIS HOBBY
“I have a huge collection of coins. I’ve been archiving old coins of Nepal since I was very young. I have at least one coin from every country I’ve travelled to,†he says. He’s so in love with coins that whenever his friends travel to a new place, he asks them to bring him a coin from there. Now you know what would make for a perfect gift to present him, right?
HE REGULARLY VISITS OLD AGE HOMES AND ORPHANAGES
Whenever Anmol has free time, he loves visiting old age homes and orphanages. In orphanages, he distributes chocolates to the children and plays with them. He takes fruits to the old age homes and spends time talking to the elderly people. “Whenever I see them, I feel sad that they’ve been detached from their families. But then it’s inspiring to see them smile despite hardships in life.â€
