  1. A salute from one soldier to another! Makes one proud to have donned the olive green once. But aren’t the train robbers zeros when compared to the robbers in offices of authority, looting this country with impunity?

  10. You are a proud Gurkha son & a great indian soldier and i salute you for that. But the truth is that you are a great son of this world & the humanity should be proud of you for what you did. I have my self fought in two wars & if time machine could roll back i would love to have Bishnu Shrestha by my side- A brave heart with a mission.

  11. Field Marshal S.H.F.J Manekshaw once wrote “if a man says he is not afraid of death, he is either lying, or he is a Gurkha”. This soldier has maintained that reputation. The ferocity of a Gurkha soldier with his khukri is legendary. I wish we knew which unit of 8 Gurkha Rifles, had the honour of having such a brave man in their ranks

  16. That is the difference between a Indian Soldier and an Indian. Bhishnu has kept up to the lofty traditions and teachings of the Armed Forces of India.

  17. I give my utmost admiration To you who had fought against lawless individuals. Without dedicated soldiers, like you, we cannot continue to enjoy the freedoms and way of life that we experience today. Kudos to you, Bishnu Shrestha.

  18. Great story! He is simply one of the bravest and balziest men on the planet! But that 50,000 bucks in reward is coming from the tax payers. Those subsidized plane tickets and others also put the burden on the average tax payer. A true public servant needs nothing more than the appreciation of his fellow citizens and his usual salary (which I know is not high). So, in addition to his public recognition, a pay increase would suffice. The public treasury, which is funded by tax payers, is not something that should be used to fund things like airport and train tickets of a specific person.

  19. Ayo Gorkhali !

This is Bir Gurkha at his best !

Weatch out for a new movie called “Ayo Gorkhali” – Bishu has 30 min of appearance in it – we will make him famous and also get him some financial rewards.
