First runner up of the contest was Solina Tamrakar who received Rs. 7,000 and second runner up was Rima Maharjan who recieved Rs. 5,000.
This year’s Miss Little Newa was the fifth such contest and the event was organized by Nepalese Fashion Home. In the event held in the Pragya hall in Kathmandu, Miss Little Newa of 2009, Neha Maharjan delivered the farewell speech. There were 43 contestents from different parts of the country inculding Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Dolkha, Hetuda, and Kabhre.
