The well known doctor of our time, Dr. Upendra Devkota, has died of cancer (news report) in the hospital he founded.

The well known doctor and scientist, Dr. Upendra Devkota, who had saved thousands of lives, hasn’t been able to save himself. Dr. Devkota died at the hospital he founded, Nuro Hospital, Bansbari.
Dr. Devkota died at 5:35 PM on June 18, 2018.

Life of Dr. Devkota:
Born in Gorkha, Dr. Devkota studied school in Luitel School, one of the most popular school of his time. He was one of the top students in the school. Apart from studies, he was also politically active and well known among his friends.

Dr. Upendra Devkota, Can cancer be cured by Ayurveda?
Dr. Upendra Devkota is one of the top neurologist in South Asia. He started neuro section in Bir Hospital and had also started neuro hospital in Bansbari. Now, a cancer patient, he is being treated in the hospital. Dr. Devkota had gone to the UK for the treatment. But, when his body didn’t respond to chemotherapy, he returned back to Nepal to die in his birthplace.
According to the western medicine, there is no hope of Dr. Devkota. But, the eastern solution, Ayurveda is different from that of the western world. The 5000 years old science treats diseases by a quite different philosophy – by considering the body as a whole rather than an individual part of the body. British hospital couldn’t cure him
Famous neurosurgeon, Dr. Upendra Devkota, is fighting for life after he couldn’t be cured in a British hospital. The chemotherapy done in London didn’t help in reducing the growth of tumour. As, his body wasn’t responding to the treatment, he decided to return back to Nepal to spend his last days in life with his loved ones. Dr. Devkota is admitted to the Bansbari Hospital and is waiting for the life to end. The hospital, NINAS in Bansbari, was established by Dr. Devkota himself.

Who is Upendra Devkota?
Dr. Upendra Devkota is one of the most popular doctors of Nepal. He was the founder of the first neurological trauma unit in Nepal in Bir Hospital. He was also appointed the Minister for Health, Science and Technology, Government of Nepal at the time of Gyanendra’s rule. Dr Devkota also founded of the National Institute of Neurological and Allied Sciences, also known as the Neuro Hospital. The Neuro Hospital is considered a state of the art Neurological Centre, providing services for patients from all over South Asia.
