The movie ‘Chhakka Panja’ has celebrated 100 days in the theatre on December 17, 2016. But, the pre-planned celebration by the film team was delayed because of the untimely demise of one of the actors in the movie. One of the popular comedian, popularly known as Ladalam after his character in ‘Tito Satya’, RP Bhattarai had died on December 9.

How was ‘Chhakka Panja’ 100 days in theatre celebrated?
On December 17 the film team went to Pashupati temple to thank the god for the success of the movie. As the celebration party was delayed because of Ladalam’s death, they went to the theatres to meet the viewers. It was mostly a silent celebration.
Previously, ‘Chhakka Panja’ team had celebrated 50-days in theatre in a very grand way. It was a huge a celebration with music and dance on the road. The celebration looked like a marriage proceeding while Deepa Shree wore a garland usually worn by brides. The film team had planned a bigger celebration on the 100 days.
In addition to getting decent crowd in theatre, ‘Chhakka Panja’ also made some new records in Nepali movie industry. After celebrating 100-days in multiplex theatre, the movie has become the first such movie in that type of theatre. The movie ran for more than 100 days in Big Movies, Guna Cinema, Ganga and Shubahkamana theatres.
About ‘Chhakka Panja’
The movie ‘Chhakka Panja’ is the third successful movie of the producer-trio Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula and Nirmal Sharma. Their previous movies ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ and ‘Woda Number Chha’ both were super hit movies.
The movie also marks the debut of actress Deepa Shree Niraula as a director. Deepa is seen in a very short guest role in the movie. The script of the movie is written by Deepak Raj Giri. The movie features most of the popular comedy actors in the Nepali movie industry. Deepak Raj Giri, Priyanka Karki, Shivahari Poudel, Jitu Nepal, Buddhi Tamang, Kedar Ghimire, Namrata Sapkota and Barsha Raut are the main actors in the movie. The movie was released on September 9, 2016.
