Devyani appointed Coca-Cola India’s vice president Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability

In a report published on July 1, 2021 Devyani Rajya Laxmi Rana has joined the Coca-Cola India’s leadership team as the vice president Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability overseeing the company’s business in India and Southwest Asia. Devyani has more than 25-years of experience working for the government and corporate affairs. She is an expert on business strategy, risk management, CSR, communication and sustainability.

In the past, Devyani had worked as the director of Public Affairs for India, Nepal, Bhutan for Caterpillar India. Before joining Caterpillar, she had worked with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and United Nations (UN) in India and The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, Geneva, Switzerland World Economic Forum (WEF).

After appointing Devyani in the post, the president of Coca-Coal, India, Sanket Ray has expressed his delight in welcoming Devyani in the team. Ray told, “Devyani brings a wealth of experience in advocating for policies, legislation, trade agreements, and regulations. Her contributions will augment our belief in our purpose even stronger and serve as an acceleration of the work that was already underway.”

Devyani’s education background expands from Nepal, UK to India. Devyani had studied Political Science (LSE) at London School of Economics (LSE). She also holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. She has also done Bachelor of Arts, (Hons.) in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India.

As a professional, Devayni has developed effective strategies to help in maximizing the impact on the social and technological sectors. She focuses on business profitability, increasing business footprint and expanding the domestic and international markets. In the statement released by the company, Devyani has also led advocacy, internal, external, and brand communications initiatives that have delivered positive business outcomes and contributed to the engagement of the organizations and teams she served.

Devyani’s Nepal connection is very important as she was once connected to the royal family and she is the daughter of one of the prominent political figure, Pashupati Shumsher JBR.
