In the SAARC film festival, Nepali actress Garima Pant has been selected the best actress for her role in ‘Jhola’. The movie was screened in the SAARC Film Festival 2014, held at Colombo, Sri Lanka from May 20 to May 25.

‘Jhola’ had been critically acclaimed and commercially successful movie in Nepal. The movie featuring Deepak Chhetri, Garima Pant, Deshbhakta Khanal, Laxmi Giri and Sujal Nepal is driected by Yadav Kumar Bhattarai. The move is made on a book of same title by Krishna Dharabasi.

Another Nepali participant, ‘Sanghuro’ also bagged a Special Jury Award to it’s director Joes Pandey. The movie was second in the Best Feature Film category.

The film festival was organized by SAARC Cultural Center, Sri Lanka.
