After ‘officially’ marrying Raju Lama, actress Pooja Chand had changed her last name and added the full name of her new husband to her name – Pooja R. Lama.
It is clear, Pooja wanted to differentiate from singer, model and actress Pooja Lama. The other Pooja is known for different scandals including a sex scandal. We had compiled a scandal profile of Pooja Lama in 2010.
Originally Radha Pariyar, she changed her name to Pooja when she entered the entertainment industry. After marrying the director Suraj Chand, Pooja had named her Pooja Chand. When Pooja left Suraj and also the country with her daughter to live in USA, she continued using Chand as her last name. In some interviews, Suraj had also demanded that Pooja should leave his last name when she is no longer married to him. Now, she is married to Lama, she has fulfilled Suraj’s demand and she has not only adopted the last name but both names of her new husband.
In a Facebook message Pooja said, "I’m the same person you love since long time, wherever I am today all credit goes to you, I never felt alone because you were always with me, this is the new journey of my life, and i hope you always will be there for me." and signed Pooja R. Lama.
