International Artist Forum Europe (IAFEU) has announced the Nepali film award to be held in Belgium on September 26, 2015. In the award ceremony awards in 14 different categories will be awarded. The announcement was made in a press meet held in Kathmandu on January 27, 2015.
In the press meet, Pradeep Kumar Uday told that the Forum is planning to held yearly award ceremonies in various countries in Europe.
The IFA Film award ceremony will be held by IAFEU in association with the Belgium Nepal Friendship Association. Award titles to be handed over in the ceremony include:
- Best Film Award
- Best Artist Award (Male)
- Best Artist Award (Female)
- Best Director Award
- Best Music Director Award
- Best Lyrist Award
- Best Comedy Actor Award
- Best Actor in Negative Role
- Best Choreographer Award
- Nepali Sewa Samman
- Best Nepali Film Special Contribution Honor
- Best Music Special Contribution Honor
- Best Singer, Female
- Best Singer, Male
It is a good thing that Nepali film Awards are being held in places all over the world. We hope the award will have better participation than that of NAS Film Award, held in Amsterdam last year. So far, film awards have already been held in countries like Malaysia (NEFTA Film Award), Hong Kong (NEFTA Award 2014 and INFA Award 2014), and Netherland.
