This week, the only Nepali movie released in theater is ‘Bidhawa’ on December 26. The movie made on the socio-cultural issue of the life of a woman after the death of her husband is directed by Manoj Shrestha. Actress Sonu Ghimire is featured in leading role and other actors include Dilip Rayamajhi and the director Manoj Shrestha himself.
The movie with social message had organized various charity shows before finally being released in theater. The movie is told to have message that the so-called low-cast and single women should be honored. ‘Bidhawa’ is produced by Giri Prasad Sunar.

The movie ‘Karbahi’ is a presentation of NP Films by Narayan Mainali.The movie marks the debut of Mahima Silwal in the Nepali movie industry. Naresh Poudel and Subhash Gajurel are featured in guest roles in the movie. Krishna Siwakoti is featured in a special role. The movie is made on the story of Narayan Mainali, dialogue of CP Sharma, music of Rajendra Shrestha, graphics of DR Giri, editing of Kiran Giri, and the director Kishor Rana Magar has written the script of the movie. The movie was released on December 14, 2012.
When a copy of super-hit movie of late actor Shree Krishna Shrestha, ‘Kohinoor’ appeared in YouTube, the producer/director Aakash Adhikari was shocked. After submitting a complaint YouTube removed the movie. But, some more users uploaded the movie again.
In the last few days multiple copies of the movie were uploaded in different user names. It looks like somebody is playing chor (thief) and the producer is playing police and submitting complaints to the video host before it removes it.
Aakash Adhikari organized a press meet on Wednesday to announce that the pirated copy was removed from the site. But, when we checked YouTube on Friday, there was at least one copy of the movie in the site (screenshot attached below).
