Loot 2 piracy in Facebook, Here is what actors and producers say

The sequel of the superhit movie ‘Loot’ has been pirated as a live show in Facebook. According to report, it was uploaded in two parts and the producers of the movie know who has uploaded it. This is not the first time the producers have faced similar case. The original movie was also pirated and they were forced to offer the official version of the movie in YouTube. Now, I am waiting for the official upload to share with you.

In the mean time let’s watch what the producers have to say about the piracy of the movie:

One of the leading actors of the movie, Saugat Malla, says that it is a very sad incident and such action should be stopped.

Wilson Bikram Rai says that the internet has helped us in a lot of ways and it has also helped the pirates to damages the producers. He says people not to abuse internet and distribute movies online.

One of the producers of the movie, Madhav Wagle, told that he has only heard of the piracy case and has heard that the person involved in arrested. He told that such an action should be stopped.

Kalo Pothi piracy – live in Facebook

The award winning film, ‘Kalo Photi’ has become another victim of piracy. The movie was pirated in file sharing sites and was recently been live broadcasted in Facebook. The movie was appreciated by the Nepali viewers and was liked in various film festivals in different countries. The movie was pirated at the time the film team was planning to show the movie in different countries.

According to report, the movie was pirated through the Facebook page of Nepali TV UK. The director of the movie, Min Bahadur Bham had commented asking to stop the video. Now, the video is removed from the Facebook page. According to Bham, he is planning to recover the damage from the parties involved in the piracy of the movie.

Although the movie is removed from Facebook, it is still available in file sharing websites. I hope to share the movie as soon as the official version of the movie is released online. Let’s wait till then.

Deepak and Deepa of Chhaka Panja formally ask police to investigate against themselves

The producer and director of ‘Chhaka Panja’, Deepak Raj Giri and Deepa Shree Niraula have asked the police to investigate against themselves in a request letter submitted to the police. After returning from their Europe tour Deepak and Deepa had visited the police station to ask them to investigate the case of a suicide that was told to be caused after they threatened the victim.

After the piracy of the hit movie ‘Chhaka Panja’ the police had arrested 4 guys. The accused had shared the video of the movie with their friends. When the police found that they had only shared the video for entertainment and not for money, they released the guys.

Dreams piracy charges to Highlights Nepal employee

It has been quite a while since the hit Nepali movies were leaked to the market. Movies like ‘Pashupati Prasad’, ‘Jhola’, ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’, ‘Resham Filili’, ‘Prem Geet’ are some of the movies that were pirated. Some of those movies were the censor copies sent to the government body of censoring movies, Film Development Board (FDB).

In a recent report, the pirates of hit movie of Bhuwan KC, ‘Dreams’, were arrested by the police. It turned out that the employees of the company that had purchased the DVD and YouTube rights of the movie, Highlihgts Nepal, were involved in the piracy. Few days earlier, KC had lodged a complain against pirates for a damage amount of Rs. 10 million. After the arrest of the employees, Highlights Nepal and Bhuwan KC have agreed upon an undisclosed damage amount.

Jhola piracy, complaint lodged against Mountain River Films

UPDATE: Sairam Pictures has uploaded the movie in YouTube claiming it to be the official upload. The full movie is available here.

The popular movie ‘Jhola’ was released in YouTube by an unauthorized party. The film production team has lodged a complaint against the owner of Mountain River Films Pvt. Ltd., Chandrakanta Jha, at the Police station, Hanumandhoka. According to the film production team, the company had uploaded the copy of the movie provided to the company for foreign shows.

After the complaint, the police’s attempt to to arrest Jha wasn’t successful as he is currently in New Delhi. The police has already taken control of the computer and other equipment from company’s office at Kalikasthan for investigation.

Kohinoor piracy, chor police game goes on

When a copy of super-hit movie of late actor Shree Krishna Shrestha, ‘Kohinoor’ appeared in YouTube, the producer/director Aakash Adhikari was shocked. After submitting a complaint YouTube removed the movie. But, some more users uploaded the movie again.

In the last few days multiple copies of the movie were uploaded in different user names. It looks like somebody is playing chor (thief) and the producer is playing police and submitting complaints to the video host before it removes it.

Aakash Adhikari organized a press meet on Wednesday to announce that the pirated copy was removed from the site. But, when we checked YouTube on Friday, there was at least one copy of the movie in the site (screenshot attached below).

‘Chha Ekan Chha’ piracy, 22-years old arrested

The producers of ‘Chha Ekan Chha‘ organized a press meet to announce that a 22-year-old Sandip Magar was arrested by the police for recording the movie in theater and releasing it in YouTube.

In the press meet, Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula and Nirmal Sharma felt satisfaction on the arrest of the pirate. The producers were worried about the overseas market that had already earned them 40 lakh in Rights.

Thanks Piracy, Yash Kumar might quit movie sector

Yash Kumar is popularly known for the sweet song in which he expressed his frustration on the traditional Nepali society in which certain ‘lower cast’ can’t touch the water used by ‘higher cast’ people. And, now he has felt as if the distributors are indirectly telling him not to touch the ‘movie sector’.

Yash, a renowned singer, entered to the film industry with his self-produced movie Bato Muni Ko Phul in which, he is also the lead actor. At the time before its release, I asked him, “Why are you entering the film industry? Are you attracted towards the name and fame of an actor?”

Yash replied with a smile, “I am no less than an actor in terms of name and fame. I don’t need that. I want to contribute the industry with a better movie and address the present social scenario.”
