Due to the hunger strike and protest of film artists, the release of new movies are uncertain. The movies scheduled to release on February 1 are Arun Khadka’s ‘Timro Lagi’, Mausami Malla‘s ‘Samaya’ and Basanta Kumar Shrestha’s ‘Padmini’.
Mausami had previously clarified that the movie release will be postponed if the protest didn’t end by the release date. ‘Samaya’ is the debut movie of Mausami’s son Vicky Malla and the actress Surabhi Bista.
Arun Khadka’s movie ‘Timro Lagi’ had postponed more than once. So the film makers seem to be determined to release the movie on the date. The movie is scheduled to release all over Nepal on this Friday. The movie made on a triangular love story on Suman Singh, Kushal Thapa and Sumina ghimire.
Another movie facing the uncertainty of release is ‘Padmini’. The movie was previously scheduled to release last month. But, it seems the movie might get one more postponement. The movie is yet to be censored and the protesting artists have blocked Film Development Board office where film censoring is done. The movie features Nisha Adhikari, Sarita Giri, Anil Thapa, and Sunil Dutta Pandey in leading roles. The movie is directed by Ram Pyasi.
