Pooja Lama scandal .. who next?

In a latest news, it is told that another Nepali actress, Pooja Lama, has become victim of a sex scandal. Lama, a Nepali model, singer, and actress is considered one of the boldest model. In the video, Pooja can be clearly seen as her partner is films it. Pooja is well aware of the recording and looks like the video recording is done in mutual agreement.

Pooja lama 2I haven’t seen the video and don’t know much about it. Those who have seen it have told that the video is filmed in a room with Pooja’s photo on the background. The couple is talking in English (as in Namrata’s video). The video is very short (only 1:23 minutes in length) as compared to about half an hour video of Namrata Shrestha. It is to be seen if more of her videos in the series will be released in the future.

Pooja is wearing a white dress and a dog can also be seen in the video. The the door is left wide open during the act in her room. Although Pooja can be easily be recognized in the video, face of her partner is not shown.

Don’t you think it is time to investigate on who is behind all these releases and motive behind them? I hope the government is listening.

Last month similar incident involving aspiring actress and model Namrata Shrestha heated the Nepali media. The release of news about such an incident has started debate on journalism ethics and social responsibility of Nepali media. I believe the news should be targeted to the mass rather than an individual. We talked about lesson to be learned from such incident. But, it looks like Pooja didn’t learn the lesson from previous events (or, did Pooja intentionally released the video to create buzz?).

I was told that Nepal government blocked us in the past during the release of Namrata scandal. Did that solve the problem? Did it stop another high profile scandal being leaked again? No, it didn’t. Old saying that closing your eyes during danger won’t save you. You have to keep your eyes wide open and fight against it. Information blocking has never solved any problem. I think, it is the right time to investigate on why and how such videos are being leaked.

  10. hey; what is happening in the kollywood? all artist are filming there their own sex video to see themself what they look alike while making a sex. later it flashes in the society by their mistakes and it will be harder for them to appear in front of public. so i request all the nepalese people to delete the such thing after you see it if you are making it for your curiousity.

  30. Jome of the Nepalese journalist are least ethical journalist in the world. They have no idea of journalism and perhaps they don’t know what it means.
