Rekha meets and supports Raute community, to spend 24 hours with Raute children

While in Hong Kong, Rekha Thapa had announced to support the backward communities like Raute and Chepang. Now, she has converted her words to deeds by meeting the members of the community and supporting them with materials of their daily needs.

Rekha Thapa shows her love for the Raute community

To meet the people of Raute community actress Rekha Thapa had headed towards Surkhet on Friday. Rekha and the Rekha Thapa Foundation members met 52 families of Raute in remote Surkhet.  She distributed 52 sacks of rice and some money to the families of the community. The people in the Raute community appreciated Rekha for the community and told that now she has become one of the community member.

Rekha Thapa and the team are also planning to visit Dadeldhura and meet the Raute community living in the area.

On Monday, Rekha Thapa is planning to live with Raute children for 24 hours in their own residence, in jungle. Rekha is planning to adopt four Raute children to raise and support in Rekha Thapa Foundation. She is looking for kidsaged5-9 years to support and provide health and education.

Rekha is also planning to register herself as the mother of the kids to provide them with the citizenship and make them competitive in the society. Rekha has invested all  the funds collected from the screening of her movie ‘Kali‘ in Hong Kong in Rekha Thapa Foundation.

  1. maidam now iam bhabindra ghimire from basundhara .permanent adderss ia arghakhanchi .i want to work research about raute people of nepal their behaviour and natural resource management .so i am poor soave not any job now so please give me support .

  2. Pretty awesome job Rekha Thapa Foundation.
    But Foods and little amount of financial support that your foundation provide wasn’t going to help them for their lives. no offense, your foundation did great job it help them a lot but it wasn’t a sustainable solutions for them, dose it?

    It would be better if you foundation figures out sustainable solutions that can help them whole lives
