The body of actor Shree Krishna Shrestha is arriving in Kathmandu at 2 PM on August 11, 2014. The government is planning a honor ceremony and a procession from the airport to Pragya Bhawan, Kamaladi. He will be kept there for three hours before taking to Arya Ghat, Pashupati for the cremation at around 5 PM. The prime minister Sushil Koirala is also scheduled to offer the last good bye to Shree.
In another report, Shree Krishna had reportedly told Sweta and his elder brother Min Krishna not to take his dead body back to Nepal. He didn’t want to give pain to his 82-years-old mother and his fans by showing his dead body. But, his family and friends have decided to bring him home so that his fans and family can say the last good bye.
In a latest report, Shree Krishna Shrestha is told to have died of bone cancer. According to the director Aakash Adhikari, Shree Krishna died at 11:00 PM on Saturday August 9, 2014 in Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi. The news of the death was only announced at around 5 AM on Sunday.
Soon after the marriage of Shree Krishna and Sweta Khadka on Ashad 23 (July 7) they left for honeymoon. Initially, Shree was suffering from dry cough. He didn’t look that healthy and had lost some weight at the time of the marriage. In hospital he was diagnosed with deep pneumonia. Bone cancer is reportedly diagnosed a week before the death.
Because of the serious illness, Sweta and Shree Krishna couldn’t participate in the promotion of their movie ‘Kohinoor’. In a press meet held last month, the director of the movie, Aakash Adhikari had almost cried while talking about the actor. In a message sent from the hospital bed, Shree Krishna had told that he will be back soon. The movie ‘Kohinoor’ was released on this Friday.
