The hit movie of its time marks the debut of actress Sanchita Luitel in the leading role in Nepali movie. The actress Bina Budhathoki is featured in a guest role and her husband Ramesh Budhathoki is the director of the moive. Star Cast of ‘Apsara’
The debut movie of Sanchita Luitel, ‘Apsara’ is a multi-star movie featuring well known artists. Bipana Thapa, Ramesh Upreti and Dhiren Shakya were leading actor at that time. Comedy actors Basundhara Bhusal, Nakkali and Gopal Raj Mainali, Chankhe were also main attraction in the film. Other comedy actors include Khem Sharma, Surbir Pandit, Daman Rupakheti etc.
Sanchita Luitel married Aakash Shah and divorced him in a short duration of their married life. After that, she married Nikhil Upreti. Sanchita became Nikhil’s second wife while he was still married to the first wife, Kopila Upreti. Now, Sanchita is the mother of two children.
Bipana Thapa left the film industry after she married an Indian national. Dhiren Shakya is still active in his film related business. Ramesh Upreti went to the USA and lived there a while before returning back to Nepal. Ramesh made acting comeback in a movie named ‘Bracelet’.
