Did you notice the hot actress of movies hot like ‘Star’, ‘Love Forever’, ‘9 O’Clock’ and ‘April Fool’, Sumina Ghimire has gone into hiding after getting married last year in March? After marrying the pilot boyfriend, Santosh Sapkota, Sumina had cut-off herself from the film industry and her film industry friends. She hasn’t been seen in any public functions after that.

Recently, I have found out that Sumina has already become the mother of a daughter. The daughter, born on the Christmas of 2015 is already 9 months old now. Sumina and her husband Santosh Sapkota, a pilot of Sita Air, are not seen in any film programs or public events.

Based on the latest photos of the actress, Sumina Ghimire has maintained her weight and looks as beautiful as before. Although there is no news about her return in the film industry, it would be nice to have the talented actress and dancer back in the film industry.

Who is Sumina Ghimire?

Originally from Surkhet, actress Sumina Ghimire, debuted as a lead actress in ‘Dulahi’. Originally named Mina Ghimire, ‘Su’ was added in her original name to make it “Sumina”. She also won the best newcomer actress award for the movie. (Read the full list of original names of Nepali movie actors)

Sumina’s first movie however was a documentary style movie titled ‘Signature’. She had also worked in as the sister of the lead actor in ‘Timi Mero Ma Timro’. When she signed, ‘Chhabilal Kanjush Chhaina’ was the first movie she signed as a lead actress. But, ‘Dulahi’ was released before ‘Chhabilal …’ and hence the ‘Dulahi’ is credited to be her first movie as a lead actress. (Watch ‘Dulahi’ here)

After Dulahi, Sumina had no problem getting roles in movies. In the meantime, the success of some sex-related movies caused the producers to opt for such theme for their movies. In that process, Sumina was featured in a lot of movies with lot of exposures.

Sumina Ghimire Controversies

The controversy started to surround Sumina since she won the Best Newcomer Actress award for ‘Dulahi’. After winning the award, her address in English was highly criticized. After that, she was accused of sleeping with the directors and producers at the film sets. She was spotted travelling to Malaysia with a producer.
