Miss Mangol 2011 is Sumnima Dewan

Model Sumnima Dewan was crowned this year’s Miss Mangol title. In the contest organized by Action Entertainment P. Ltd. and participated by 27 beauties of Mangolian origin was held on March 12, 2011, Saturday in Kathmandu. The first runner-up  and second runner-up in the contest were Manita Gurung and Sushma Lama respectively.

In addition to various awards in sub-categories, the participants of last year’s contest were also given ‘Previous Talent Award’ in the ceremony.

Miss Nepalgunj 2011 is Shreya Basnet

Shreya Basnet won the title of the Miss Nepalgunj beauty contest held in the western Nepal city Nepalgunj, recently. Sapana Parjuli was the first runner-up and Shreya Samari, the second runner-up in the contest.

Miss Nepalgunj Shreya is the resident of DSP Road and is studying is grade 11 in Bright Land Higher Secondary School.

In the event, Preeti Rajbhandari was awarded Miss Catwalk, Kamana GC, the Miss Beautiful, Binita Thapa, the Miss Personality, Sadina Thapa, the Miss Talent, Anju KC the Miss Photogenic, Dipika KC the Miss Best Smile, Sony the Best Figure, and Netra BC was awarded the Miss Discipline titles.

st was organized in Hotel Siddhartha View by Movie House in association with Generation X. There were eleven participants in the beauty contest.

Miss National 2011 to be held on Feb 5

Everest Fashion Homes is going to organize a beauty contest named "Miss National 2011" on February 5, 2011. In the event, 17 participants from all over Nepal will compete for the crown and a prize of Rs. 15,000 and mobile set costing Rs. 50,000.

The organizers of the event held a press meet on January 26 to announce the final event of the beauty contest. In the contest, girls aged between 16 and 24 and height not less than 5 feet and 1 inch were allowed to participate.

Miss Sherpa 2011 is Dawa Yangji

In a competition involving 17 Sherpa beauties, Dawa Yangji has won the Miss Sherpa 2011 title in an event held in Rastriya Naachghra, Jamal.

Dawa also won  the Miss Talent title. The first runner-up of the contest was Pashang Lahmu Sherpa and second runner-up was Sonam Chonden Sherpa.

Miss Sherpa Dawa received a prize money of Rs. 50,000. The first and second runner ups received Rs 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively. Title winners also received various gift hampers from sponsors of the event.

Miss Teen Green 2011 is Riya Acharya

In an event held on January 15, 2011 in Pragya Bhawan, Kamaladi, Kathmandu, Miss Teen Green 2011 title was awarded to Miss Riya Acharya. Among a total of 26 contestants and Najma Mathema and Rashmita Ranjitkar became the first and second runners ups respectively.

In an initiative of Galaxy Modeling Agency and Spring Nepal with a slogan “Hariyo Ban Nepal ko Dhan.” The event was inaugurated by Anuradha Koirala, the chairperson of Maiti Nepal, as the chief guest. In the event, Miss Republica Teen Nepal, Kreety Tamang Lama walked in the ramp to mark the start of the event. < /p>

The judging panel consisted of actor Bhuwan KC, actor Dinesh DC, choreographer Prashant Tamrakar, Miss Nepal 2010 first runner up – Sahana Bajracharya, Puspa Joshi, Film Director – Narayan Puri and Rajya Shree Shrestha.

The girls in an odd t-shrit with a beer’s name in big letters on the front looked very cheap.

The infamous “Real Juice” in front of the judges gives an impression that the event was sponsored by Dabur Nepal.

5th NRN Regional Conference to be held in Dubai

The 5th NRN regional conference is going to be held on January 14-16, 2011 in Dubai, UAE. The main theme of the conference is "Collective Investment and Safe Migration".

Miss Sherpa 2011 to be held on

Kala Sanskriti Sanrakchyan Kendra is going to organize the 2011 edition of Miss Sherpa. The organization has told that it has received the permission to organize the beauty contest from the Sherpa Association of Nepal. The slogan of this year’s contest is "Promote Culture, Save Identity".

Last year’s Miss Sherpa was not that successful due to the less number of participants. This year the organizers have already started the promotion to attract a large number of Sherpa beauties to participate in the contest.

The winner of the contest will receive a sum of Rs. 50,000. The first runner up and second runner
up will receive Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively. Miss Sherpa 2011 will also be appointed the ‘Sherpa Cultural Ambassador’.

The final contest will be held in the first half of January, 2011 in Pragya Pratisthan, Kathmandu.
