Friday release – Rahadani and Abeg (with trailers)

Two new movies ‘Rahadani’ and ‘Abeg’ were released in theater on this Friday (on March 25, 2016). It is a clash between the lead Aryan Sigdel in ‘Abeg’ and Dayahang Rai in ‘Rahadhani’.

A presentation of Surya Karki for Yaman Bridge Nepal, Nepali movie ‘Abeg’ is directed by Basanta Niraula. The movie features actors Aryan Sigdel, Dhruba Dutta, Pabitra Acharya, Archana Delala and Ramesh Budhathoki. The movie features the action of Asta Maharjan, cinematography of Purushottam Pradhan, music by Tanak Budhathoki and script of Krian Michael. The choreographer is Kabiraj Gahatraj and the editors are Shahil Khana and Milan Shrestha.

Subrat Acharya, another journalist to direct a movie

It seems, movie directing is an attractive profession for film journalists. That might be the reason the Kantipur journalist Subrat Acharya has commenced directing a movie named ‘Adhakatti’.

Another journalist Dabbu Chhetri is currently directing a movie named ‘Passport’. Actor director Dinesh DC had also started as a journalist. A photo journalist of Kantipur, Bikash Rauniar is in film business (it is his wife who is directing the movie). The movie named ‘Megha’ is featuring Manisha Koirala‘s brother Siddhartha Koirala and Namrata Shrestha.

Film Journalist Dabbu Kshetri to direct 'Passport'

In a latest news, a film journalist for almost two decade, Dabbu Kshetri, has thought that he can direct movies too. A movie named ‘Passport’ will bear his name as the director. That’s not all, he is also the writer of the movie.

Dabbu told that he had studied film direction for the last four years before jumping in the new profession. Dabbu has previously directed music videos including a music video for the 3-year-old child singer, Athiti KC.

Although the artists aren’t finalized yet, the movie is all set to go on floor in the first week of Falgun. The movie to be shot in foreign locations like Malaysia and Dubai is scheduled to be completed in 35 days.
