Nafarkiyakaharu won the 60 Seconds Film Festival

60 Seconds Film Festival organized by Interface Nepal concluded by awarding Sanjay Chaulagain’s direction ‘Nafarkiyekaharu’ the winner. The festival held at Theater Village, Lazimpat featured 48 short films in the final. The winner of the festival received Rs. 25,000 cash prize.

Kushal Shrestha’s ‘Colors of Life’  and Shanaka Rijal’s ‘Udan’ were awarded the second and third place. ‘Colors of Life’ received Rs. 15,000 cash prize and ‘Udan’ received Rs. 10,000.

Shiva Regmi’s Daughter Bhawana got married within months of her father’s death

The actress daughter of late director, Shiva Regmi, Bhawana Regmi has got married today. Shiva Regmi had died on December 9, 2013 after failing to recover from kidney failure. The reason behind the marriage in a hurry is not known.

According to Hindu tradition, events like marriages are not held in a home for a year when somebody dies. The reason behind the marriage of the daughter within two months of the death of the father is not not known.

‘Chha Ekan Chha’ piracy, 22-years old arrested

The producers of ‘Chha Ekan Chha‘ organized a press meet to announce that a 22-year-old Sandip Magar was arrested by the police for recording the movie in theater and releasing it in YouTube.

In the press meet, Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula and Nirmal Sharma felt satisfaction on the arrest of the pirate. The producers were worried about the overseas market that had already earned them 40 lakh in Rights.

Kamana Film Awards announced in association with CG Entertainment

‘Kamana’ monthly and CG Entertainment are jointly organizing Kamana Film Awards. Two organizations signed a contract agreement for the next five years to organize film award in a program held in Soltae Hotel. The award will start on the occasion of the 30th years in publication.

The film award will award the movies and artists of the films released in the year 2070. The date of the award ceremony is yet to be announced. The awards are categorized in five categories – main awards, technician awards, non-contestant honor, critics award and jury awards. The award amount of life-time achievement award will be Rs. 1,00,000.
