Miss Nepal International 2017, Niti Shah, made a huge blunder in Japan when she talked about the education of women in Nepal. She showed how unprepared she was in representing the country in an international arena. But, making mistake is human and, it is the way we learn a lot of things. That is what Niti is being told to do.
I am talking about the suggestion of Miss Nepal 2016, Asmi Shrestha. Asmi wrote a long message to Niti Shah and reminded her about Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt. I din’t know much about Alia Bhatt until I shared Asmi’s suggestion to Niti Shah in my previous post – (Suggestions to Niti Shah from ex-Miss Nepal)
Who is Alia Bhatt and what is Alia Bhatt blunder?
Alia Bhatt is the daughter of a well known Bollywood film director, Mahesh Bhatt. Being from an affluent family, Alia had lived a life in luxury and she could afford to be dumb and clueless about the majority of India. That was until she went to a TV interview and she made dumb mistake in 2014. Continue reading
I wrote about the blunder Niti Shah made and how it is creating a backlash in my previous post. Miss Nepal 2017, Nikita Chandak, has written a post in support of Niti and asked everybody not to go after her because, she thinks, Niti did mistake like every human does. Here is the full status of Nikita:
Last time I had posted on wishing Niti luck for her coronation night.
The morning of November 14th when I woke up, I found so much of hate comments for her that she doesn’t deserve and so did I delete the post.
She is a human being like all of us. Mistakes happen and sometimes the days just aren’t in your favor. Sometimes you just can’t express your thoughts in a way that everyone else is looking for.
So, I request all of you to please understand. She has always been loved by all of you and love is what everyone deserves, motivation and positivity is what everyone deserves. So, let’s spread love, let’s spread positivity, let’s support, empower and encourage each other.
Every international beauty contests have a swimsuit round and the swimsuit poses of beauty contest winners and models are not rare poses. But, after Miss World scraped the swimsuit round, the swimsuit poses of Miss Nepal winners have become rare. I haven’t found any swimsuit photos of any Miss Nepal after 2013. In a latest photo shared by Asmi Shrestha from Thailand, she is wearing a swim suit. But, the photo is not clear and the photo only shows her back. Yes, it is not a proper swimsuit photo but, that is the only one she has shared so far.
In another photo Asmi is seen wearing a jeans shorts with black top and holding a beer on a beach. Continue reading

The summary of Asmi Shrestha’s farewell speech (main points)
The most important thing she did as Miss Nepal was ‘Classroom and Beyond’ project. The project had helped her to be the top five in Miss World in the ‘Beauty with the Purpose’.
Meeting Nepali people in Nepal and abroad and feeling of the respect and love towards Miss Nepal title was heart touching to Asmi.
Before being Newar or Bahun or Chhetri or Rai or any other caste, the Miss Nepal crown holder is a Nepali. She asked everybody to treat as being Nepali rather than being of certain caste.
The crown had taught the crown holders to stay strong,  to believe in themselves, and keep their heads high. She also believed that it has also prepared them for the life that lies ahead of them.
