The Friday, April 7, 2017 was the last Friday of the year 2073. On that day only one movie was relased – ‘Aparichit’.
The movie ‘Aparichit’ features Sarika KC and Prajwal Giri in leading role. The movie is directed by Rupesh Thing. A director of Tamang movies, ‘Aparichit’ is the first mainstream movie of Thing. The movie is told to be an action love story movie. It is produced by Milan Lama and Jabindra Subba. The cinematographer is Sanju Thokar Lama.
The year 2071 started on the midway of of April 2014 and will end mid way of April 2015. In the twelve months in between, there were 81 new Nepali movies released in theater. That is a lot less than more than 100 releases in the year before. Out of the releases only a few had succeeded in winning the hearts of the viewers.

The director of the movie ‘Mokshya’, Prabin Shrestha, has announced his second movie titled ‘New Year’ in association with Grishma Entertainment. The movie featuring Anup Bkram Shahi and Benisha Hamal in leading role.
The movie written by Benisha herself is produced by Gihendra Ghimire. In a press meet organized in Kathmandu the film makers told that the shooting of the film will be done in Australia and Nepal. Actress Benisha had told in 2013 (nepaliactress.com link) that she was writing film story and after almost two years, the film is announced.
