Don’t make sex tapes at all! That is the lesson to be learnt from the recent events of Namrata and Pooja, and Carrie Prejean as well (I think).
Former miss California Carrie Prejean told Larry King that his questions were inappropriate on the last night’s Larry King Live show. She took off her microphone and threatened to walk off the show.
Carrie Prejean caused a stir at the Miss USA pageant earlier this year with an answer to a question about gay marriage posed by Miss USA judge Perez Hilton. Her answer was:
“We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”
Miss Nepal Zenisha Moktan is seen in a photo session in London, UK with her renewed smile, in the preparation of the Miss World 2009, to be held on December 12 in South Africa.
Nobody is perfect. Somebody are more beautiful and others are a bit less.
Current Miss Nepal, Zenisha Moktan, is good enough as long as she is not smiling. But smiling is one of the most important aspect of beauty. I don’t know whether the judges saw her ‘big’ smile or not; but, the viewers surely saw some shortcomings in her and hence, there were some negative comments on the news post about the Miss Nepal event I posted previously. When she smiles – big enough – it is more of the gums that shows off rather than the teeth.
Now she is going to participate in the Miss World and she is a bit more serious about her looks. According to Nepal Samacharpatra daily, she has made five of her teeth to look better for the upcoming event. She went to Dr. Sushil Koirala to cut some parts of her gums and put caps on her small teeth. The operation took two weeks and the result – big teeth, better smile.
There were 16 male participants and 13 female participants in the contest. Rabindra won “Most Popular†and viewer’s choice awards along with the Mr. Kathmandu titles. Rajani also own “Most Talented†title.
Niraj Shrestha and Soni Tamang were the first runner-ups in the event. Raju Maharjan and Rajina Tamang won the second runner-up titles.
Among the 13 contestants, 9 contestants won one of the contest titles. The sisters, Deepa and Jyoti, apart from being Miss Pearl and second runner-up also won Miss Angel and Miss Charming titles respectively. Pabitra Gurung won Miss Personality title, Roma Ghale was Miss Genius, Sumin Gurung was Miss Catwalk, Sunita Gurung was Miss Attitude, Susmita Limbu was Miss Entertainer, Roji Pun the Miss Online Popular votes, and Soni Limbu got Miss Figure titles.
Title winner Deepa Gurung wants to become architect or an interior designer in future and doesn’t like chocolate. We wish all the best for her bright future.
20-year-old Sangeeta Gurung from Pokhara won the first runner up and Miss Personality titles. 17-year-old Manjila Rai from Dharan bagged the Second runner-up, Miss Best Dress-Up and Miss Best Skin titles.
Yuta Limbu of Dharan bagged Miss Catwalk and Miss Live Audience Choice awards, Rojina Gurung from Pokhara won the Miss Photogenic award and Sabina Rai from Dharan was crowned Miss Best Figure. The finalists in the pageant were chosen by a judging committee made up of Dipti Thapa, JB Pun and Farmi Wang. The event was held at Heni Ji Li Yung community hall of Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong.

Congratulation Zenisha and other titles winners!
Last year’s Miss Nepal was cancelled in the last minutes amongst protest from then ruling party, CPN-Maoist. Last year, during the preparation of the contest Zenisha was dragged into controversy with a video claiming to be hers. But it turned out to be a fake video.
Following is a slide show of all the Miss Nepal from the start of the event in 1994 to 2014 (updated in 2015).
My understanding is that modeling is done to advertise product or service. There can be male or female model but in this article I will refer female models as they are the most sought after (even shaving cream ads feature female models). Wikipedia defines a model as:
A model (from Middle French modèle), sometimes called a mannequin, is a person who is employed for the purpose of displaying and promoting fashion clothing or other products and for advertising or promotional purposes or who poses for works of art.
Again from Wikipedia
The British Association of Model Agents (AMA) says that female models should be around 34-24-34 in (86-61-86 cm) and at least 5 ft 8 in (1.73 m) tall.
I am not talking about the Russian beauty or the Indian beauty who, we might be seeing a lot in Hindi movies in coming days. It is about the Miss Nepal 2008 who was not chosen in the first place. I would have been happy to write about a Nepali model whether placed last among the 108 contestants or somewhere in the middle. After lengthy preparation of the Miss Nepal 2008, the government decided that the event was worthless and it would serve no purpose to the betterment of the society.
Mendoza, 178-centimetre (5′ 10″) beauty, clinched the diamond-studded gold crown after answering a question on the difference between men and women.
“Men think that the fastest way to go to a point is to go straight,” explained the trilingual contestant from Amazonas state. “Women know that the faster way to go to a point is to go to the curves.”
Mendoza’s Venezuela is a “pageant superpower” with 4 previous Miss Universe and 5 Miss World winners. (Read more about her in Wikipedia and official Miss Universe site)
