Funny Truck Literature

I am not sure who took this photo but, it sure is funny. The writing on the truck, reads:

Fanakka farki nahera Kanchi haranko taalai ma
Jhilke chaa khalasi Kiss khala gaalai ma !

The rough translation of the text reads:

Hey girl, don’t turn around to look on the sound of horn, the naughty assistant (in Bus/Truck) may kiss you on the cheeks

Polygamy punishment – what are police for?

An online newspaper published the following photo showing CPN UML district level leader Resham Bahadur Baniya and his new wife Sushila Pandey being punished by the locals for polygamy charges. The 72-year-old Baniya had recently married the 26-year-old Sushila, while his other wife, Min Kumari is still living with him.

It is a sad incident to to see such a leader doing such a social crime. But, the locals in the area also do not have any rights to punish anybody by their own decisi
ons. There has to be proper legal procedure to be followed before anybody is punished for their crime.

Morning shows in theater banned – to stop college students from bunking classes?

Theaters in Nepal are banned to have morning shows, starting before 11 AM. The Film Development Board‎ of Nepal (FDB) has decided to act as moral police to stop the college kids from bunking classes to go to the movie theaters.

But, are the movie theaters the only reason college kids bunk classes?

How about the restaurants? Public parks? or what about the shopping malls where kids can be seen in their uniforms.

Why is it a bad idea ?

Pole and wire – mutual support!

A twitter user, @gogoze, posted the amazing photo below. The engineering principles and rules fail when people build structures like that seen in the photo below.

It is unthinkable, unbelievable to see cable supporting hanging poles in the air. This should be the perfect example of how engineers work in Nepal. Another photo (it should be pretty scary to look up like that):

Is it racism? Naomi Campbell not so Blissful by an advert

Supermodel Naomi Campbell found her comparison with a chocolate bar ‘insulting and hurtful’.

The Cadbury’s advertisement for its ‘Bliss’ chocolate bar says: "Move over Naomi – there is a new diva in town." The advertisement was published in newspapers last week. Naomi claims Cadbury owner, Kraft, refused to Naomi’s request to pull the ad campaign.

To be noted, the ad also compares Naomi with a ‘diva’. I am sure she is not upset by that… Move over Naomi!

Naomi says, "I am shocked. It
‘s upsetting to be described as chocolate, not just for me, but for all black women and black people. I do not find any humor in this. It is insulting and hurtful."

Real Juice – worm found again

After much media cover on the problem with Dabur’s Real Juice in the past, reports of such inedible materials in the juice had stopped for some time. But, it seems they still haven’t rectified the problem. A user in Jhapa found dust and worm in Dabur Real Mango Nectar sold in Sony Kirana Pasal in Damak 11 (Near, Himsikhar TV). The expiry date of the juice was however two month earlier.

It is not clear if the problem occurred because of the expired product or it was tainted in the factory. Whatever may be the case, the government should take proper steps to investigate the issue and discourage the shopkeepers from selling expired pro
ducts.
