Comedy actor Magne Budha on depression medication

It is a common belief that comedy actors are the most happy people around. In reality, the laughter they spread is simply the coverup of their sorrows. A proof is comedy actor Kedar Ghimire, popularly known as Magne Budho, after a character he played in ‘Meri Bassai’.

Kedar Ghimire teamed up with Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus) in directing ‘Meri Bassai’. The comedy serial quickly became very popular. But, the relationship between Dhurmus and Magne Budho turned sour. Magne left the serial and started producing other comedy videos. These days, Magne Budho has started a new comedy serial ‘Khas Khus’. Magne however couldn’t act in the serial much as he fell sick and had to take rest. Magne has recently shared the details of his health condition. He was initially diagnosed of ulcer like symptoms and was taking medication. The doctors have also given him depression medication because of the mental health issues.

Nepali movies have been using popular television programs to promote their movies. In the latest news, actress Priyanka Karki is being featured in ‘Meri Bassai‘, a popular comedy serial.

How many times you have read news? About vandalized hospitals and doctors threatened by the family members of the deceased; just because, their loved one has just died in that hospital?

Hospital is where people die!

If you do a survey, you will be surprised by the number of people who die in hospitals. More people die in hospital than they do in their own home. That is because; hospital is a place where people go for treatment of their diseases. Some of those diseases are curable and others are incurables. There is no guarantee that everybody recovers from the illness. Then, why do these people blame the doctors all the time? It is because the deceased person was young and has not seen the life? Will vandalizing hospitals and thwarting doctors solve our problem?

Miss Nepal nominated Best Comedy Actress, Meri Bassi to boycott Tele Award 2067

Comedy tele-serial ‘Meri Bassai‘ unit is to boycott the 2067 Tele Award as the popular television program is not included in the nomination of Best Comedy Serial award. The first television award ceremony to award television programs and artists of 38 different categories is going to be held on May 13, 2010.

The actors and director-duo of Meri Bassai, Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus) and Kedar Ghimire (Magne Budha), organized a press conference to announce their dissatisfaction on Wednesday. Although the serial is not included in the nomination of the Best Comedy Serial, it is nominated in 8 other categories including best story, best script, best acting (male), best supporting actor, best supporting actress, best child actor, and best editing categories. The serials nominated for the Best Comedy Award are:

  3. Jire Khursani

  5. Gharbeti Ba
