The maker of ‘Saayad‘ and ‘Hostel‘, Durgish Films has announced its third movie. The movie will feature the actors of both ‘Saayad’ – Samyam Puri and ‘Hostel’ – Anmol KC, Salon Basnet and Gaurav Pahadi in main roles. The movie will also feature actress Namrata Shrestha.

Hostel producer Sunil Rawal sued journalist RK Subedi
‘Hostel’ and ‘Saayad‘ producer Sunil Rawal has accused journalist RK Subedi for defaming him. When Rawal refused to pay the money Subedi asked for the promotion of ‘Saayad’, Subedi had published various public notices in his magazine ‘Box Office’ weekly.
Sunil says that he had paid all the dues for the promotion of the movie in the magazine. It seems, Subedi did a Puja for the movie and claimed the the cost Rs. 25,000. Sunil refused to pay the amount as the spending wasn’t agreed on beforehand. In a Facebook message Sunil said, ‘I have taken RK Subedit to the district court. He defamed me by telling that I didn’t pay him.’
Hostel, 51 days success party held in Kathmandu
One of the most successful films of the current time, ‘Hostel’ makers have organized a success party in Kathmandu on the celebration of it’s 51 days in theater. According the the producer, Sunil Rawal, most of the film personalities, journalists and artists were invited to the party held at Siddhartha Party Palace in Banesowr.
At the time when most of the movies are not able to earn the cost, ‘Hostel’ has been able to be collect a good revenue.
Movie Review – Hostel
Nepali movie ‘Hostel’ was released on August 30 in theaters all over Nepal. The movie is produced by Sunil Rawal under Durgish Films. The movie features the friendship of three characters played by Anmol KC, Salon Basnet and Gaurav Pahadi. Actresses Rista Basnet and Prakriti Shrestha are also featured in important characters in the movie. Although the movie is advertised as a college love story, it is more about friendship and relationships. The movie is directed by Hemraj BC.
Story
The movie is the story of Aditya Bikram Rana (Anmol KC), Junge (Salon Basnet) and Shree (Gaurav Pahadi) – three medical college students living in a hostel. Aditya is from a rich family, Junge is from a medium income family and Shree’s background is not clear in the movie. They go through every ups and downs a young student goes through hostel life. There is love, tragedy, betrayal, friendship, family relationship, classroom, hostel warden and so on.
Nepali movie Hostel – First look released
The first look of the movie featuring second-generation artists of Nepali movie industry ‘Hostel’ was released on Thursday, May 30 in Kathmandu. The movie features Anmol KC – son of Bhuwan KC, Salon Basnet – son of Shovit Basnet, and Gaurav Pahadi – son of actor Tika Pahadi.
The first look of the movie produced under Durgis Films banner was unveiled by the FDB chief Dharmendra Kumar Marbaita (Pappu). First look, song and the promo were released in the program.
Saayad sequel Saayad 2 to be made
The producer of ‘Saayad‘, Sunil Rawal has announced that he will start the production of it’s sequel ‘Saayad 2’ after the release of his second movie ‘Hostel’. His upcoming movie ‘Hostel’ is made on the young generation youths and features second generation artists of Nepali movie industry.
Nepali movie ‘Hostel’ starts formally
Sunil Rawal’s upcoming movie ‘Hostel’ is officially started on February 8, 2013. After a year-long workshop the movie has finally started in a formal ceremony held in Kamaladi Ganesh temple. The movie will feature a lot of second generation film artists – sons and daughters of well known artists and crew members of Nepali movie industry.

It was a bitter start – ‘Saayad’ was released on the ‘Nepal Bandha’ day. It is currently being screendd in various theaters inside Kathmandu valley and in a few parts outside Nepal. As already discussed on our pre-review review, ‘Saayad’ is a story about the youths of plus-two, their drug indulgence and how their life changed because of drugs. The movie directed by Suraj Subba ‘Nalbo’ features Sunil Rawal, Samyam Puri, Wilson Bikram Rai, and Jharana Thapa in leading roles.
Story:
The movie ‘Saayad‘ is the story of two brothers Yodin (played by Samyam Puri) and Nirag (played by Sunil Rawal). After Yodin was born, their family had earned wealth and their life became more easier so Nirag considers Yodin a luck. Yodin’s crush, Sirish, was the sister of Nirag’s crush, Samridhi. Yodin’s best friend Ved (played by Wilson Bikram Rai) introduced Yodin to drugs. Yodin and Ved’s group started taking drugs because of the problems in the family and love lives.
