Anmol KC & Aanchal Sharma to team up in Jerry On Top

A sequel of Anmol KC’s second movie ‘Jerry’ is annouced to be named ‘Jerry On Top’. The movie will feature the original couple Anmol KC & Anna Sharma. In addition, Aanchal Sharma will also be featured in leading rold. The shooting of the movie will start by Mid-June 2024.

The producer Saroj Neupane posted on Facebook about the teaming of 3As – Anmol, Anna & Aanchal in the movie. Aanchal. The movie was initially announced on the Valentine Day of 2023. The production has been pushed back for more than a year and now, it is finally going to floor soon.

The director of the movie was initally Hemraj BC, the director of 2014 movie ‘Jerry’. In the meantime, BC has gone to the USA. Now, Suyog Gurung is the new director of the moive. The movie is told to be shot in locations in Nepal and Australia. The target is Tihar 2024 for the screening of the movie. Suyog had directed Anmol KC’s last movie ‘Farki Farki’. The movie is is currently showing in theater.

Malvika Subba, Riyaz Shrestha Divorce Story in 12 Points & biography

Malvika Subba, the Miss Nepal of 2002 finally revealed that she was divorced 2 years ago. This was a surprise revelation, although she had previously hinted about it. That still was unbelievable as a lot of youth consider her their idol and a lot of couple also wanted her to be ideal for a successful couple.

But the truth is unpleasant:

Here are 12 thing’s about Malviaka’s divorce case:

Malvika Subba had been the host of various seasons of couple love-story interview show Jeevan Sathi in Himalaya TV. She herself was a guest with her then-husband Riyaj Shrestha during her pregnancy. That was the time they had started to drift away – during her pregnancy.
Malvika and Riyaj were in love-relationship for 3 years before they finally decided to get married in 2069 BS
The marriage was intercaste marriage – a Subba of Mongol origin and Shrestha of Kathmandu. She has indicated that that might be one of the reasons for the failure of their marriage.
Marriage between Malvika’s parents (Father a Subba and Mother a Brahmin) was also inter-caste. That marriage parted her parents from their respective parents (Malvika’s grandparents).
In an interview, Malvika had told that the cultural and traditional beliefs had caused daily headaches in her life.
When their son Zyair (spelled his father Riyaz) was born, the traditional and cultural difference made it difficult for her to adjust in the family. That was despite of her Laws great help in raising her son.
The relationship between Riyaz and Malvika deteriorated during her pregnancy, and they were always quarreling.
After birth, first 6 months was the toughest in her life. In the first 4 months she devoted 16-hours of her day to take care of the child. After two hears of her motherhood with her husband’s parents it became unbearable, and she decided to live on her own.
Her decision to live on her own was not accepted by her maternal family. So, she had rented a room to live with her son near her husband’s home. That was how she kept the son near his father and his grandparents.
After 4 years of living alone with her son, she decided to get divorced.
After divorce, Malvika and Riyaz are co-parenting the child. She also claims that she hasn’t taken any property from her ex-husband.
Malvika kept the divorce a secret from the media for two years and finally shared the experience in actress Priyanka Karki’s YouTube channel.

RIP Robin Tamang

It is a sad news of the passing of a legendary singer of Nepal, Robin Tamang. Born to a British Army family in Singapore as the youngest of five siblings. Because of his father’s posting in various countries his family had to move from country to countries till he was 17 years old. He lived in Singapore, Brunei and Hong Kong. He did his schooling in Singapore where he was influenced by the rock singers Jimmy Hendrix and Deep Purple. During his school years he started his first band and titled “F Troop”. The band performed in school.

He later went to study in a college in Canada in the mid 80s. During Humber College of Toronto days, he formed his second band and named it Tamang. The band performed in different stage shows.

10 successful Nepali movies out of 46 Films released in 2079 Year

In the year 2079 there were a total of 46 films released from the first day Baisakh 1 to Chaitra 24. That is an indication of the recovering of the film industry after the start of the pandemic in the New Year of 2077.

Baisakh 1 release – “A Mero Hajur 4” featured Anmol KC and Suhana Thapa in leading role and was successful. That was a good start of the year. The year started with a sequel and most of the successful movies released this year had been sequel movies. In addition to A Mero Hajur 4 other sequels Chhakka Panja 4, Prem Geet 3, Kabbaddi 4 all were successful in the box office. The last movie to release in 2079 – “Bahab” featuring Surakshya Panta in leading role was released on the last Friday of the year, Chaitra 24.

The movies that failed to be up to the expectation were multi-starrer film “Timro Mero Saath” of Shiva Shrestha, “December Falls” & Anmol KC’s flim ‘Chhadke 2″. It was an interesting incident of Anmol KC apologizing for the failure of Chhadeke.

Here are the 10 successful movies of 2079:

1. Kabaddi 4 became the record-breaking film in terms of box-office collection in the history of Nepali movies. The movie featuring Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar and Saugat Malla was the last in the Kabaddi series. Although the sequel continues – the name of the upcoming movie is told not to contain the name ‘Kabaddi’ but, it will be named after Saugat Malla’s character.

Shristi Shrestha & Saugat Malla breakup rumor

UPDATE: Saugat Malla has confirmed the break-up. Online khabar has published his statement. The statement states that they have decided to go in separate path and focus on their career. He has told that it was decided by mutual understanding. Six months earlier, during the release of Nepali movie ‘Radha’, he had told about marriage. On his statement, the marriage talk was because of the pressure from the media. Full detail in the following video report:

Malvika Subba Divorce, a surprising revelation by Malvika herself

Malvika Subba has indicated that she is divorced and is raising her child as a single mother. Another important revelation in a program held last week in Kathmandu was that the marriage had fallen apart during her pregnancy in 2015/16. When she was pregnant her husband wouldn’t sleep with her and she was left alone to worry.

According to her statement, the relationship worsened after the birth of their son. It seems, she decided to separate take care of her 6-months-old son all by herself in her parental home. Because of the stress at that time, she told about going to therapy.

In that process, her friend Nilu Dolma helped Malvika with the moral support (Nilu Dolma died the next year at the age of 33). Nilu was the director of the movie Malvika produced – “How Funny” featuring Keki Adhikari, Nisha Adhikari and Priyanka Karki in leading roles.

Camino, a star stuffed film to debut Niti Shah & comeback of Rajballav Koirala

Upcoming Nepali movie ‘Camino’ is expected to bring in the craze of Nepali film industry as it features some well-known actors in main roles. In the movie Raj Ballav Koirala is making a comeback after 10 years of relocation to the USA. The movie is also going to be the debut movie of Niti Shah. The winner of Miss International Nepal 2017, Niti Shah is a well-known face in the modelling industry. Her attempt to join the film industry was delayed more than once in the past. At last, she will probably be featured in Camino in a significant role.

The main actor Pradeep Khadka is currently the most popular male actor in the film industry. After Anmol KC’s recent release failed miserably in box-office, Pradeep seems to be the only hope at the current time. Another addition in the movie, Saugat Malla is considered one of the most seasoned actors in the Nepali film industry. 1.5 years & Dhurmus Suntali still emotional blackmailing – Rangashala debt problem is HUGE

The debt problem of Dhurmus and Suntali and their construction of a cricket stadium in Bharatpur municipality has been lingering for about two years. Dhurmus collected a large sum of money from Nepali all around the world. He started the construction of the stadium and tried to transfer the project to the municipality. But, the municipality is facing legal problem to pay off the 18 crore loan Dhurmus took. They have budget for the new construction but, government has no way to pay the debt Dhurmu took.

Renu Dahal, the mayor, says that 18 crore is not a big sum of money. It is the legal hurdles that are delaying the construction. She has told that at the local level, she has tried to do everything and there is nothing she can do now. Her father, Prachanda, is the prime minister of Nepal now. So, she is banking on his cabinet to approve the construction work of the stadium.

As, Renu Dahal, tries to take over the credit of the construction, Dhurmus and Suntali are at unease. Suntali told about that in a TikTok post – saying, “See, how innocent his face looks…”

Surakshya Panta marries Manav Subedi, boyfriend of 6 years

In an event held on March 8, 2023, in a resort in Chitwan, actress Surekshya Panta got married with her long-time boyfriend Manav Subedi. Only friends and family members were invited in the wedding ceremony.

Surakshya and Manav were engaged in a ceremony held on March 7, 2023 and the Mehandi event was held on the same day. Informing about the events, Surakshya shared photos of the event.

Sharing an engagement photo Surakshya wrote – “A new chapter is starting today. We are very happy. Please give us best wishes,” in Nepali and she wrote Engagement in all caps.

Rajesh Payal Rai becomes a father before marrying his girlfriend Sangbung Rai

Popular singer Rajesh Payal Rai surprised his fans by the news that he has become a father even before getting married.

Currently in USA tour, Rai, had kept everything a secret. As soon as he left Nepal, his girlfriend has released the details about her son. She has also shared a video call video in which Rai is seen talking with his son.

In addition to that, Sangbung has shared various photos of herself with Rajesh Payal Rai and has called him her “husband”.

Sadichha Shrestha, Miss Nepal 2010 is marrying Rahul Moktan, a Muay Thai player

Miss Nepal 2010 Sadichha Shrestha is marrying a Muay Thai fighter Rahul Moktan in a ceremony to be held on July 5, 2022. Moktan is running a Gymkhana – a gym and Muay Thai training institute.

It is interesting how their choice of interest are different as Sadichha was never a fan of sports and in contrast Rahul was no fan of studying. Yet, they both are gold medalist in their fields. Sadichha Shrestha was awarded gold medal in her MBA degree in AIT, Thailand. Rahul Moktan won three gold medals in Muay Thai game. I will do a video report on these facts and share here when it is ready:

Sadichha was crowned Miss Nepal 2016 during a special program held at Tribhuwan Army Officers Club, Bhadrakali, Kathmandu on Sept. 1, 2010.

She participated in Miss World 2016 representing Nepal and featured a dress made out of Allo from Taplejung district and peacock feathers. The 6kg dress she flaunted in Miss world stage was designed by Uttam Banepali and Shiba Shrestha of Uttam Creations, Kupondole.

Balen Shah wins Mayor of Kathmandu, Sunita Dangol wins Deputy Mayor

Kathmandu Municipality has got a young, engineer mayor, Balen Shah. An independent candidate, Balen has received 61,767 votes against the second place Nepali Congress candidate, Sirjana Singh with 38,341 votes. While CPN UML’s mayor candidate Keshav Sthapit was forced into 3rd position with 38,117 votes, his running mate Sunita Dangol got 7 thousand more votes than the mayor Balen.

The Deputy mayor Sunita Dangol won the election with 68,612 votes and her nearest competitor Rameshwor Shrestha only got 23,608 votes.

Raju Lama World Record attempt: concert at 6574 m altitude

The lead singer of Mongolian Heart band of Nepal, Raju Lama, has made an attempt to set a World Record by doing a concert at the altitude of 6574 meters on Mount Everest. The location of the performance is between the camp 2 & camp 3 of Mt. Everst. The previous record of such performance was made in 2012 by a British musician. Now, after the approval of Raju’s performance, he will be the new World Record holder.

Raju Lama is in the process of climbing the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest. After the performance, he wrote a statement about what it meant to him and the world.
“Performing at the altitude of 6574 meters on Mount Everest ( between camp 2 & 3) was a huge success. It wasn’t easy but loved the thin air, Khumbu icefall and the challenge. And it was probably the highest performance on land ever. The mission was to deliver the awareness message about the climate change and its impact across the globe in everyday life. We the humans are 100 % responsible for this so let’s contribute to combat the global warming & climate change. Every action counts no matter how small it is. Let’s act today so we can leave this beautiful planet for our children & their grand children.”
