Binita Baral shed crocodile tears – publicity stunt over magazine cover

Chapali Height actress Binita Baral has shed some crocodile tears in a press meet organized in Kathmandu. The meet was held in response to the publication of a photo on the cover of Shukrabar weekly and Kamana monthly.

By the way Binita has responded to the incident, we can say that it was a pre-planned incident and was meant to be a publicity stunt rather than an unexpected event.

Just after the publication of a photo on Kamana monthly, Shukrabar published similar but different photo. The photo was provided by the producer of the movie, Arjun Kumar, to the media.

A few things to prove Binita tried to make fool of the people:

  • She had agreed to publish the photo in film poster. She has nothing a
gainst the photo as such. Publication on magazine cover – is no issue at all.
  • She told she had a piece of garment to cover her chest. Does anybody care if she had anything over there or not? She showed some photos in press meet and they didn’t prove anything.
  • Binita’s tone of message after the press meet – “I told you all I have to say. Now, go on and publish whatever you like!”

‘Mero Pyaro Okhaldhunga’ – Okhaldhunga photos

Mero Pyaro Okhaldhunga….

The poet who wrote the beautiful poem about his birthplace Okhaldhunga and made it popular, is remembered as the Yug Kavi. Siddhicharan Shrestha who was born in Okhaldhunga-6, has a statue erected on his birthplace. (Photo credit: Dewaka Dhakal)

The place Okhaldhunga Bazaar and the district is named after an Okhal shaped stone. The stone is preserved by constructing a brick wall around it, in a shape of an Okhal.

Before the construction of Okhaldhunga – Katari road, the only means of transportation to the district was airplane (apart from walking from Katari of Udaypur). Rumjhatar airport made on a natural slope doesn’t even
have a gravel surface.

Okhaldhunga is also popular for a beautiful fall, Pokali Falls. Here are some beautiful photos of Pokali Falls:

Pokali Falls is one of the beautiful falls in Nepal. About 2 walking days from the district headquarter, it is remote place for the outside world. Without any means of transportation, the pristine beauty is preserved from human intervention. Here are some of the photos of the beautiful falls:

Road literature – Priceless love

A heart touching piece written on the back of a truck was captured by journalist Dipak Bhattarai.

Shundar rahechha timro muhar ma dukhile chinna sakina
Amulya rahechha timro maya ma garib le kinna sakina…

I tried translating it, but couldn’t replicate its sweetness. So, all I can say about the piece in English is the essence of the lines: "I couldn’t buy your love because it was priceless."

Geek slipper – wearing the keyboard

Who would want a keyboard designed slipper? I am sure it won’t be that comfortable wearing this oddly designed footwear.

I wouldn’t want to own such a footwear because:

  • It sucks when you can’t wear and show off your design at the same time.
  • I doesn’t follow the foot contour.
  • It would most probably be the most uncomfortable footwear with the "enter" key pressing the under-sole.

You can't replace your head – wear helmet

Every Hindu knows Lord Ganesh got his human head replaced by an elephant head. Don’t ask me how can an elephant head fits on Ganesh because, we are not talking about mythology.

Yes, it’s not possible to fix elephant’s (or anything else’s head, for that matter) on a human body. Ganesh agrees on it and ask motorcycle riders to wear helmet to safeguard their heads.

The poster issued in public interest by Safe Life Foundation, somewhere in India says:

Take care of your head !!!
Not everyone gets a replacement
like me…

Rupa can look better in Saree

Rupa Upadhyay is a  hot model and actress. Having seen a lot of bikini shots, I was pleasantly surprised to see how beautiful she looks in a traditional Nepali attire.

Don’t you think so?

She looks absolutely gorgeous. She looks great in her bikini shots too but I think, the beauty is enhanced in the traditional dress.

Go ahead, compare the decent sari-clad Rupa with the following pics:

Rani Pokhari Temple Now and Then

The temple located at the center of Rani Pokhari opens only on the day of Bhai Tika. Those who don’t have brothers or sisters go to the temple to get a tika.

The temple has been around for a long time and hasn’t changed much. The following photo shows the temple in 92 year-old photo (taken in 1920). When compared with the current photo, you can see that the Ghantaghar on the background has changed much but the pokhari and the Rani Pokhari Temple look the same.

Deepawali lights

(UPDATE) Blogger Mohammad Tajim has suggested that the image is not that of Deepawali. Although the images is being circulated as that of being Deepawali, one can argue that they don’t celebrate Deepawali in Pakistan (at least, not to that extent). Tajim commented:

This apparently is not am image shot on Diwali. This image is overlapping with three other images shot iin interval of last 2 decade.. the blue color lights were present from 1992 to 1998 and are not present now whereas green lights represent area which became inhabited after 2002 and yellow light are the consistent light from 1992 to 2011…

Amazing image of Deepawali, the festival of lights ! Anyways, with the amount of lights during Deepawali, we can expect a colorful scenery as seen in the image, during Depawali.

The following image taken from the skies, shows the evening o
f Deepawali
in which India (and, to some extent in Nepal) is flooded with light.

Binita Baral in Chapali Height

UPDATE (Nov. 25, 2011)- A photo taken for the poster of the movie got published in magazine cover and is heating the winter.

The actress, Binita Baral, was thrown away from her debut movie, even after signing the agreement. Although Krisha Chaulagai’s “Ke ma Timro Saathi Banna Sakchhu” couldn’t be her first movie, she landed in another movie with odd name – “Chapali Height“. The movie is said to have content that the censor board might not be too happy to pass because of excessive kiss and sex scenes.

The director Dipendra K. Khanal finished the shooting of the movie in 45 days. The movie is based on the story of a girl (Binita) living in a hostel in Pokhara and two guys who have fallen in love with her. The love story between Binita and Amir Gautam and Raj Ghimire is the main plot of the movie.

Sahana Bajracharya – helping to get over ‘Bikini Taboo’

She helped Nepal in being one of the Top 15 in Miss Asia Pacific 2011!

The beauty with brains, Sahana Bajracharya, couldn’t rise above the Top 15 in the Miss Asia Pacific 2011. Given no major successes of Nepali beauties in the history of international beauty contests, that is a okay … and warrants for a big “congratulation!”

Shahana told that she had enjoyed the contest and the photo says it all.

Oh How much i enjoyed being on stage .. Bikini Round!

The fol
lowing photo of the Miss India and Shahana says it all … they sure did have fun!

I love the way Shahana choose to tell it to present her *hot* bikini photo:

Its not what you wear that matters. People should look at YOU and not what you Wear… Oh dear country men, get over the bikini taboo please…

More bikini photos (to get you over “the bikini taboo” :)
