Chapali Height actor, Raj Ghimire, arrested for abduction

The actor of the hit movie ‘Chapali Height’, Raj Ghimire, has been arrested on December 18, on the charges of abduction and beating of a youth. A Godawari resident, Kumar Silwal, had lodged a complaint against Raj Ghimire of abducting him from his house. Kumar has accused Raj of taking him to Hotel Chhari and beating. In the complaint, he was taken to a forest for further beating.

Based on the complaints of Silwal, the police has acquired a 5-days-long arrest warrant to prepare for the legal case against Ghimire. According to reports, the police Deputy Superintendent of Lalitpur Police, Dayanidhi Gyawali has confirmed the arrest and has told that the investigation is going on.

Vigilante – Movie Review

A milestone of Nepali film industry, ‘Vigilante’ is the first Nepali 3D movie in the 50-year long history of the industry. ‘Vigilante’ is produced by Aasma Films, the banner that produced the blockbuster movie ‘Chapali Height‘ last year. The movie features Priyanka Karki, Subash Thapa, Raj Ghimire, Menuka Pradhan, and Arjun Gurung in leading roles. The movie is directed by Dipendra K Khanal.

Story

‘Vigilante’ starts with a suicide scene of a groom on his marriage day – and, that is the mystery of the movie. As the movie advances, six friends are seen on a bike trip as a song of Sabin Rai is played on the background. As the advance toward an unmentioned destination, the six friends have a lot of fun and discussion. When one of the friends’ bike breaks down, their journey is halted in an evening. While staying in the house of Khatri in the way, two of them disappear in the forest. Other four to enter the forest to find their missing friends. One by one each of them disappear in the forest.

April 5 release – Vigilante 3D and Kisan

Two Nepali movies ‘Vigilante 3D’ and ‘Kisan’ are released in theater on Friday, April 5. The movie ‘Vigilante’ is the first Nepali movie made in 3D technology. Another release, ‘Kisan’ was completed 2010 but wasn’t released in theater.

Made on the story of farmer, ‘Kisan’ is a movie directed by Bimal Poudel and features , Ganesh Upreti, Nandita KC, Neeta Dhungana, Nir Shah, Rajesh Dhungana, and Mausami Malla, Chetan Sapkota in main roles. The movie is presented by Basanta Kumar Shrestha and is made under the banner of Kaligandaki Cine Max. The movie features the music of Chetan Sapokota, cinematography of Raju KC and action of Roshan Shrestha.

Vigilante premiered, releasing on April 5

The first 3D movie in Nepali movie industry history, ‘Vigilante’ was premiered on April 2 in Kathmandu. The movie directed by Dipendra K Khanal features Priyanka Karki, Raj GhimireMenuka Pradhan, Shankar Acharya, Subash Thapa, Dipsikha Shahi (Sikha Shahi) etc. The movie is releasing all over Nepal on April 5, 2013.

The movie is made on the story written by Shan Basnyat and categorized as a social thriller. The movie is mostly shot in a jungle and it states how a person can become ‘Vigilante’ for love.
