Richa Sharma hot appearance in Junge, trailer released

The trailer of upcoming movie ‘Junge’ was released in a program held in Kathmandu on March 20. The movie featuring Suraj Singh Thakuri, Richa Sharma, Anup Baral and Dpsikha Shahi in leading role features Suraj Singh in action role whereas actress Richa is featured in hot appearance.

The movie directed by Utkal Thapa features the cinematography of Susan Prajapati, script of Subash Koirala and the dialogue of SS Agraj. In the program, the director, Thapa, wasn’t present as he is currently in Australia. In a video message director Utkal Thapa told that the the movie is about the historical figure Junga Bahadur Rana in the present context.

The first 3D movie in the Nepali film industry, Nepali movie ‘Vigilante’ is a presentation of Ashma Films. The movis is directed by the director of hit movie ‘Chapali Height’ (watch ‘Chapali Height’ here).

Friday release, Ichchha

This Friday on Februray 20, 2015 only one Nepali movie, ‘Ichhya’ (or ‘Ichchha’ as shown in the poster) is releasing in theater. Before the final release in theater, the movie was premiered on Sunday evening in F Cube multiplex. The film crew and journalists were invited to the premier show.

The movie directed by Munal Ghimire is made under the banner PLM Films named after its three producers Nabin Shrestha, Laxman Poudel and Prakash Ghimire.  The movie features Dayahang Rai, Subash Thapa, Dipsikha Shahi, Om Pratik, Deshbhakta Khanal, Aakash Pal, Ayushma Karki, and Rashmi Bhatta in main roles. The movie is made on a social story about marriage. The movie tries to give a message that marriage should not be forced upon the youngsters.

Real Names of Nepali artists who had changed their name after entering the film industry

Changing names is a common practice among Nepali artists for a better name or for good luck. Some astrologers suggest a different names for the success in their career. For example, Bhuwan KC changed his name to a 7-lettered Bhuwann before the release of his movie ‘Sathi Ma Timro‘. It’s a different story, the movie didn’t do well in theater. Actress Binita Baral had also changed her name to Beenita (7-letters) on the suggestion of an astrologer. The result of the change in names were not that exciting. But, that won’t deter people from changing names. Others change to a better sounding names like Shova to Nandita, Radheshyam to Ramit, Nawaraj to Nawal and so on.

April 5 release – Vigilante 3D and Kisan

Two Nepali movies ‘Vigilante 3D’ and ‘Kisan’ are released in theater on Friday, April 5. The movie ‘Vigilante’ is the first Nepali movie made in 3D technology. Another release, ‘Kisan’ was completed 2010 but wasn’t released in theater.

Made on the story of farmer, ‘Kisan’ is a movie directed by Bimal Poudel and features , Ganesh Upreti, Nandita KC, Neeta Dhungana, Nir Shah, Rajesh Dhungana, and Mausami Malla, Chetan Sapkota in main roles. The movie is presented by Basanta Kumar Shrestha and is made under the banner of Kaligandaki Cine Max. The movie features the music of Chetan Sapokota, cinematography of Raju KC and action of Roshan Shrestha.

The first 3D movie in Nepali movie industry history, ‘Vigilante’ was premiered on April 2 in Kathmandu. The movie directed by Dipendra K Khanal features Priyanka Karki, Raj GhimireMenuka Pradhan, Shankar Acharya, Subash Thapa, Dipsikha Shahi (Sikha Shahi) etc. The movie is releasing all over Nepal on April 5, 2013.

The movie is made on the story written by Shan Basnyat and categorized as a social thriller. The movie is mostly shot in a jungle and it states how a person can become ‘Vigilante’ for love.

Dipsikha Shahi’s hat trick in renaming herself, settles for a masculine name

A new actress, Dipsikha Shahi has made a new record in Nepali movie industry by renaming herself twice in a month. That is a hat rick in name – from Dipsikha Shahi to Sikha Shahi to finally Darshan Shahi. The final name Darshan sounds much like a male name and we are afraid, it will also be changed to something else.

Rang press meet main attraction Karishma in a short dress

The movie produced by MR Films Production, ‘Rang’ is going to be released on February 15, 2013. The release date of the debut movie of the long time assistant of actor , Roshan Thakuri, was announced by organizing a press meet on February 12 in Kathmandu. One of the main attraction of the event was actress Karishma Manandhar, in a short one piece. Although she didn’t flash her underwear in this event, Karishma is known for showing her underwear in more than one events in the past.

In the yellow dress and matching shoes, Karishma looked younger than her actual age and stunning.

Saroj Khanal in Nepal to promote 'Manav'

Jharana Bajracharya's 'Safe Landing'

Because of the failure of her comeback movie ‘Kohi Mero’, actress Jharana Bajracharya had announced her retirement from the Nepali movie industry. It seems, she found a safe landing in a movie by Rahul Agrawal and Basanta Bhandari, ‘Safe Landing’. Jharana is featured as a police officer in the movie.
