Anmol KC & Aanchal Sharma to team up in Jerry On Top

A sequel of Anmol KC’s second movie ‘Jerry’ is annouced to be named ‘Jerry On Top’. The movie will feature the original couple Anmol KC & Anna Sharma. In addition, Aanchal Sharma will also be featured in leading rold. The shooting of the movie will start by Mid-June 2024.

The producer Saroj Neupane posted on Facebook about the teaming of 3As – Anmol, Anna & Aanchal in the movie. Aanchal. The movie was initially announced on the Valentine Day of 2023. The production has been pushed back for more than a year and now, it is finally going to floor soon.

The director of the movie was initally Hemraj BC, the director of 2014 movie ‘Jerry’. In the meantime, BC has gone to the USA. Now, Suyog Gurung is the new director of the moive. The movie is told to be shot in locations in Nepal and Australia. The target is Tihar 2024 for the screening of the movie. Suyog had directed Anmol KC’s last movie ‘Farki Farki’. The movie is is currently showing in theater.

Nepali Movie – A Mero Hajur 3

The superhit movie of theater is proving to be superhit in YouTube.
Although some of the viewers think that Anmol KC and Suhana Thapa lacked acting skills, the viewership is exactly opposite.

‘A Mero Hajur 3 was released in 2018 and was liked by the viewers. The movie made on the story of a celebrity and his fan is produced by Sunil Kumar Thapa. The movie directed by actress Jharana Thapa is her second directional venture. Her first direction ‘A Mero Hajur 2’ was also successful. In her second movie, she had introduced her own daughter Suhana Thapa in leading role. She has signed Anmol KC in a record breaking remuneration in the Nepali film industry.

One of the most important gossip from the movie is the relationship between the lead actors, Anmol and Suhana. Suhana has told that she is highly impressed by the actor. Both of them are devotee of Lord Krishna and they have a lot of things in common. For Suhana, Anmol KC has broken his record of not-repeating-actresses in his film. Anmol is being featured opposite to Suhana in upcoming movie ‘A Mero Hajur 4’. That is a record in itself because, Anmol had never repeated actresses in his previous movie.

A Mero Hajur 3 song – Cheat Day

The third song of upcoming Jharana Thapa’s movie ‘A Mero Hajur 3’ has been released. The song titled ‘Cheat Day’ features Jharana’s daughter Suhana Thapa. The song is filmed on the voice of Prabisha Adhiakri and music of Pratik Poudel. The choreographer is Rahun Shah.

The parents of Suhana, the actress had done a detailed preparation for her debut in the film industry. Suhana, it seems, has also done a lot of preparation before she decided to be an actress. The song shows it all. In addition, Anmol’s presence is bound to attract more viewers to the theatre.

The movie is going to release in theatre on Chaitra 29. The movie is about a die-hard fan of a celebrity singer. The celebrity is Anmol KC and the fan is the actress Suhana. The love story between the two is the story of the movie. The story is written by the mother, Jharana, and she has also directed the film.

Samragyee RL Shah overtook Jassita Gurung to sign in Rato Tika Nidharma

The producer of upcoming Dashain movie ‘Rato Tika Nidharma’, Ashok Sharma, had approached Jassita Gurung for the role. The actress of ‘Lily Bily’ and ‘Love Station’ demanded Rs. 10 lakh for the role. While bargaining for the price, the team has signed in Samragyee RL Shah for the role. In a report, Samragyee was paid higher amount, Rs. 16 lakh for the role.

One of the most popular actress in the Nepali film industry, Samragyee is also one of the busiest actress currently. Samragyee was shooting Nawal Nepal’s ‘Maruni’. In the mean-time she has also signed in ‘Subha Biwaha’ of Hemraj BC. In the movie, Samragyee will romance with Pradeep Khadka. The shooting of the movie however has delayed a while. Right after the completion of ‘Maruni’ Samragyee will start the shooting of ‘Rato Tika Nidharma’.

Friday Release – Shubha Love and Saili

Two new Nepali movies are released in theatre on March 29, 2019. An astrologer turned actor, Harihar Adhikari is featured in leading role in ‘Shubha Love’. The celebrity astrologer was popular in assisting actors to succeed in the film industry. Harihar’s entry as an actor is being closely watched by the film industry.

Another movie, ‘Saili’ was also highly hyped because of the success of the song by the name. The movie was made as a prequel of the song.
‘Subha Love’ introduces Harihar with actress Christin Poudel. Like his real life, Adhikari is also featured as an astrologer in the movie. The movie presented by Pradeep Uday features Surya Thapa, Saroj Khanal, Rajaram Poudel, Raja Rajendra Pokharel, Rabindra Jha and others. The movie has been highly promoted in various media.

Anmol KC & Suhana Thapa romance in A Mero Hajur 3 (Trailer)

The trailer of ‘A Mero Hajur 3’ has been released a day after the announcement of the trailer was made on March 27. The trailer was finally released on March 28 – the reason being ‘technical problems’.

In the announcement ceremony the the actress turned director Jharana Thapa told that she has given her daughter to the film industry. She had also claimed that everybody would like the acting of her daughter. Jharana is introducing her daughter in the sequel of successful franchise, ‘A Mero Hajur’. In the first movie Jharana was the lead actress and her daughter Suhana was featured as a child actress in the film.

In the second sequel, Samragyee RL Shah was featured in leading role and it was the first film directed by Jharana Thapa. The success of the film helped Suhana’s parents to introduce their daughter in the third sequel. The movie is produced and directed by the family. Anmol KC was signed in in the highest ever price for an actor in the film industry – Rs. 30 lakh. With Anmol and Suhana, the film also features Salon Basnet, Arpan Thapa etc.

Mero Euta Sathi Chha 2 NOT to feature Anmol KC

After a show of Anmol KC’s film ‘Captain’ actress Namrata Shrestha and Anmol had a chit-chat with the journalists. In one of the questions, Anmol KC told that he would gladly do the sequel of ‘Mero Euta Sathi Chha’ if Namrata Shrestha is featured opposite to him.

It was clear that, they were praising each other and the journalists were trying to get the headlines. The sequel of ‘Mero Euta Sathi Chha’ wasn’t even officially announced. Media reported as if Anmol KC has already signed in the film. The movie is currently in pre-production and the film director had trouble answering queries.

Dinesh Raut wrote in Facebook:

That is – Now artists have been proposed for the movie yet. We are in the very initial stage of the movie.

Now, this status seem to have created another headlines that, “Dinesh Raut rejected Anmol KC’s interest to do the film” or of similar nature.

Dinesh Raut has told that they haven’t considered Anmol KC to be featured in the movie and they haven’t approached him for the role. Dinesh reportedly told that, “Anmol won’t be in the film.”

According to unofficial rumours, Namrata Shrestha and Aryan Sigdel, the artists of the original film won’t be featured in the movie. The director of the original film, Sudarshan Thapa is replaced by director Dinesh Raut.

Who would be the artists in the new sequel – that is a mystery. Some say, Dhiraj Magar might be featured in the leading role in the movie. There are no clues on who the actress might be.

The sequel of Namrata Shrestha and Aryan Sigdel film ‘Mero Euta Sathi Chha’ is in making. The new movie will be directed by the assistant director of the original film – Dinesh Raut.

The original film, released in 2009, was directed by Sudarshan Thapa. The movie was the debut film of the director who is also considered one of the most successful directors of the Nepali film industry. Dinesh Raut was his assistant in the film. Dinesh later directed superhit films like November Rain, Classic and Prasad. Actress Namrata Shrestha is the actress of his choice in his films. Namrata was featured in all of his films including not-so-successful’Parva’. In the initial movies, Aryan was featured opposite to Namrata but, he has dropped Aryan in the last couple of films – ‘Parva’ and ‘Prasad’.

According to reports, Raut is yet to official sign the agreement. Other artists in the movie are also not finalized. Based on the past films, Namrata Shrestha is expected to be featured in the leading role in the sequel of her own film.

In the ofirinal movie Namrata was featured opposite to Aryan Sigdel. Other artists in the movie were Jiwan Luitel, Dayahang Rai, Jenisha Moktan and Sushma Karki. Sushma Karki was the girlfriend of the director Sudarshan Thapa at that time. Now, Sushma and Sudarshan have broken up and there are rumours of Sudarshan’s affair with another actress Pooja Sharma.

This is not the first time the rumour of the making of the movie has surfaced. In 2015, Aaryan Sigdel Films had announced the making of the film. But, the movie didn’t go to floor and it was shelved.

The original movie was not an original story. It is a copy of a Korean film named ‘A Millionaire’s First Love’ (the producers and directors however haven’t disclosed the fact.)

Yatra Vlog, teaser analysis

The teaser of ‘Yatra’ a musical vlog has nothing exciting about it. The movie by debut director Samrat Shakya features young artists in the movie. The ‘A Mero Hajur 2’ actor, Salin Man Baniya is in leading role opposite to Malika Mahat. The movie also features Salon Basnet, Janvi Basnet, Jayanada Lama, Rayer Rai, Dhiren Shakya and Prekshya Bajracharya. The movie is about the ups and downs of travelling. The love, friendship and other relationship aspects of the characters are presented in the musical film.

The teaser however feels like an usual love story. At least for me, it fails to give a new perspective of a travel. It doesn’t sound like anything interesting to set aside hours and spend money to go to theatre to watch the movie. I think the teaser fails on it’s purpose to excite the viewers to go to watch the film.

If the producers had wanted to tell who are in the film, they could have release a song -that would be a lot more effective advertisement.

Namrata Shrestha goes to London, for red carpet premier of Prasad

Actress Namrata Shrestha has gone to London, UK for the screening of her new movie, ‘Prasad’. The red carpet premier of the movie will be held on January 12 at the Princess Hall of Aldershot, UK. This is the first time Namrata has visited the country.

Before the movie premier, on Friday January 11, Namrata will be present in a talk program to be held by the SOAS University of London, Nepali Society. In the program she will talk about her acting career and the Nepali film industry.

Friday Release – Katha Kathmandu, Anurag and Tshring

Three new films were released in theatre this week on Friday, September 28, 2018. As all three movies are targeted to different viewers, the viewers aren’t expected to divide over these films. In addition to these films, last week’s release ‘Intu Mintu Londonma’ is still getting a lot of viewers. So, it is more like four Nepali movies at the same time.

Katha Kathmandu

A movie directed by Sangita Shrestha, ‘Katha Kathmandu’ is the story of Kathmandu. The movie targeted to the people in Kathmandu is about the life style and crime in the city. The movie got a lot of publicity because of the trailer and the disapproval of the Film Development Board. The movie however is open for all the viewers to watch it. The movie features Priyanka Karki, Pramod Agrahari, Ayushman Desraj Joshi, Sandhya KC, Sanjog Koirala and others. The script of the movie is written by the director Sangita herself. Asta Maharjana is the action director.

Swastima Khadka drives Tempo in Bulbul, like Rekha Thapa did in Ram Pyari

Actress Swastima Khadka is featured in the role of a driver in her upcoming movie ‘Bulbul’. Because of the shooting schedule of the movie and the time she had to dedicate to learn driving tempo in the streets of Kathamndu, Swastama didn’t participate in the promotion of her movie like ‘Nai Nabhannu La 5’, ‘Jaya Bhole’ and ‘Chhakka Panja 3’.

Now, the shooting of the film is complete. According to the director of the film Binod Poudel, the only remaining part is a song of the film.

It is not the first time an actress is featured as a tempo driver in a movie. Actress Rekha Thapa was featured as a tempo driver based on a real-life character in her movie ‘Ram Pyari’. (Watch the film ‘Rampyari’ here). The movie was a failure.

Friday Release – A clash in theatre, Ramkahani and Rose

On Friday, September 7, 2018, two movies are clashing in the theatre. The producer and the actress of ‘Ramkahani’ had been in tussle with the other film ‘Rose’ for a while. The viewers are also divided between the fans of Pooja Sharma and Pradeep Khadka. Pradeep and Pooja were featured together in the hit film ‘Prem Geet’. After the movie, they are not in good terms with each other. Pradeep did ‘Prem Geet 2’ with the producer, Santosh Sen. Pooja did ‘Ma yesto Geet Gauchhu’ with the director Sudarshan Thapa. They both claimed to be the sequel of the movie. It was a coincidence that both the films were successful establishing both Pooja and Pradeep credible actors of the film industry.

These days, Pradeep is considered one of the highest paid actress in the film industry. Pooja has started producing films herself in association with the director Sudarshan Thapa.

Anmol and Suhana started the shooting of A Mero Hajur 3 in Pokhara

A new entry in the Nepali film industry, Suhana Thapa, has officially started the shooting of her upcoming movie, the third sequel of ‘A Mero Hajur Sequel’ in an event held in Pokhara. Produced and directed by her parents – Jharna Thapa and Sunil Kumar Thapa, the movie is the second movie of Jharana as a director. In the first film, Jharana had acted in the leading role, in the second Jharana debuted as a director and in the third sequel her daughter is debuting as an actress.

Suhana Thapa is the only daughter of actress Jharana. Jharana has been grooming her to be an actress. She had signed in the most popular actor of the Nepali film industry, Anmol KC to lead in the movie in a hefty amount – Rs. 30 lakh. In ‘A Mero Hajur 2’ she had paid Rs. 10 lakh to Samragyee RL Shah – a huge amount for her second film. The investment proved to be a well placed investment.

Anmol KC upcoming film Captain first look poster says – Match beginning soon

Actor Anmol KC’s much awaited film ‘Captain’ poster says that the match is beginning soon. There is no indication how soon the match begins. The movie features Anmol as a football player. Popular as a lover-boy characters in films, Anmol has been trying to change his image for the last few films.

In the first four films, Anmol was featured in youth love story films. The fifth film was a bit different – featuring his action avatar. For the movie he had prepared himself by pumping his muscles. He had also changed his physical features to suit in the role. Although the film ‘Kri’ got a huge hype, the box-office collection wasn’t as great as expected. That didn’t make the film unsuccessful. So far, all of his films have been successful and have recovered their investment and made profits.
