About ‘Kanchhi’

Super hit Nepali movie ‘Kanchhi’ was released in 1984 and had celebrated 101 days in theater.  The story and the script of the movie was written by the director BS Thapa and was produced under the banner of Om Production.

The movie features the cinematography of Ramchandra (camera by Rustam Engineer, Balu T Sawant and Murari Thakur.) The action is coordinated by Gopal Bhutani, Kishor Rana is the chief assistant director, Manohari Singh has arranged the background music, dialogue by Chetan Karki, choreography of Basanta Rayamajhi, editing by K. Nanda, and music by Gopal Yonjan. The story and the script of the movie is written by the director, BS Thapa.

The sequel will feature actress Samragyee RL Shah and a new actor. The shooting has already completed and the post production works of the movie is going on.

This original version of the movie ‘A Mero Hajur’ was produced under Sunil Kumar Thapa and Jharana Motion Picture. This is the second movie of Jharana Thapa’s production was written and directed by late director Shiva Regmi.

Uddav has also written the story of the movie and has named Nikita Poudel, Nirak Poudel and Nikesh Poudel as the producers. The director Resh Raj Acharya has written the screenplay. The music is composed by Laxman Sesh, cinematoraphy by Narendra Pradhan, choreography by Raju Shah, action by Rajendra Khadgi and editing by Rajani Panta.
