A presentation of Black Horse Pictures and a production of Cinema Arts, Nepali movie ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ is the sequel of hit movie ‘Kabaddi’. Like the previous part, this part is also set in Naurikot Village in Mustang – about 400km away from Kathmandu. The story of this movie is set in the time one year after the events in the first sequel. The executive producer of the movie is Nischal Basnet. Nishchal Basnet has also given voice to one of the songs in the movie. ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ was released on November 27 2015. Nischal Basnet and Priyanka Karki are featured in cameo roles in the movie.

The movie ‘Killa’ was released last year in theater. The movie presented by Subash Meche features the music of Bikash Chaudhary, cinematography by Saurav Lama, editing by Banish Shah, choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj and action by Himal KC.

Because of the political issues in the movie, the Censor Board had rejected it and had asked to re-shot some of the scenes. The Board had asked the film makers to make it neutral in terms of supporting a political party.

The Nepali movie ‘Krishna’ is a presentation of RBK Sharad. The movie is made on the story featuring an action love story drama. The action and adventure movie is written by Yogesh Rayamajhi / Kishor Dhakal.

The movie was namedÂ ‘Kholawari Kholapari’ at the time of shooting. The movie was renamed ‘Krishna’ right before the release of the movie on August 6, 2010 (read more about it in our previous post). Initially the director of the movie was JB Rai. When Rai left the team, the assistant director Sujan Lama took over the role of the director.

The movie ‘Khagrass’ is based on the true story in Gorkha during Maoist insurgency. The movie is a presentation of Austin Nepalese Association. The movie made to ‘reveal the criminal face of the Nepali politics’ is written jointly by Biplav Pratik and Nayan R Pandey. The movie was screened in various cities in the USA before the Censor Board in Nepal could approve it for release in Nepal. ‘Khagras’ was also nominated for best dialogue in NEFTA awards, 2014.The movie is made on the story of the killing of a school teacher by Maoist in Gorkha. Nepali Movie – Kabja

A movie by Kishori Films, ‘Kabja’ was released on October of 2014. The movie featuring actor Biraj Bhatt in leading role was advertised for being a movie made in Nepali language. But, in fact, it was dubbed from Bhojpuri. To trick the viewers, Suvekshya Thapa and Raju Giri have re-shot part of the movie to make it a Nepali one. While the part featuring Biraj Bhatt other artists are dubbed, the part featuring Suvekshya was shot in Nepali language.

On the day of its release, another movie of Biraj Bhatt, dubbed from Bhojpuri, ‘Gunda’ was also released in theater to compete with it. ‘Kabja’ is made on a story of two brothers.
