Dhurmus and Suntali – the comedy actor duo had been quite successful in fund raising for their social work. While working for others, they have been able to do good to themselves. Now, they are working to raise fund – a whooping Rs. 3 Arba (3 Billion) to construct the stadium.
It would certainly be a challenge for them to collect such a large sum from Nepali foreign workers – who are mostly unskilled labour forces. In their past social work, they had collected huge sum of money. They were appreciated by the people for their selfless work.

Nikita has resigned from the Film Development Board to start working in a hospital in Remote Karnali region. This is a social work to be built under a newly formed Rabi Lamichhane foundation. The hospital named Raskot Community Hospital was announced in January – right after Rabi and Nekita got married.
Rabi Lamichhane is a Nepalese television presenter who set the world record for hosting the longest-ever television talk show. He is affiliated with News24 Television and the interview show was telecasted in April 2013.
One of the most popular TV journalists in Nepal Rabi Lamichhane has married Nikita – daughter of a TV station owner – TV filmy, Uddav Poudel.

A tussle between the government and a political appointee of the previous government has ended after she couldn’t sustain the pressure. I guess, it wasn’t a pleasant experience working with a minister who had actually removed you from the post previously. The minister of information and technology, Gokul Baskota wasn’t a fan of the chairman of Film Development Board. The daughter of a film maker Uddav Poudel, Nekita Poudel, had managed to get appointed to the post at the time when the Sher Bahadur Deuba government was paving way for KP Oli to take over. The appointment was against the warning of KP Oli. Keeping his promise, KP had removed Poudel from the post. But, the Supreme Court had reinstalled her to the seat.
Now, when the minister had ordered his subordinate to start the procedure of her removal from the post, Nekita has resigned from the post.
The first episode of the Nepali version of Who wants to be a Millionaire has started in Nepal. The winner of the contest is awarded Rs. 1 million (which is 100 times less than a $1 million that the winners of US contest win).
The show is similar to the show held in India by Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan. For the show, the host, Rajesh Hamal, had redesigned his hair style. Rajesh Hamal is known for his slightly longer hair. He used to be strict when his hair style was concerned. He didn’t change his hair style throughout his acting career.

Well known film artist, BS Rana, has died on February 1, 2019. He was sick for a while and was being treated in Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu.
BS Rana is known for his role as Jung Bahadur Rana in ‘Seto Bhag’. He was also featured in ‘Basanti’ and a lot of other films. (BS Rana films)

The teaser of ‘Yatra’ a musical vlog has nothing exciting about it. The movie by debut director Samrat Shakya features young artists in the movie. The ‘A Mero Hajur 2’ actor, Salin Man Baniya is in leading role opposite to Malika Mahat. The movie also features Salon Basnet, Janvi Basnet, Jayanada Lama, Rayer Rai, Dhiren Shakya and Prekshya Bajracharya. The movie is about the ups and downs of travelling. The love, friendship and other relationship aspects of the characters are presented in the musical film.
The teaser however feels like an usual love story. At least for me, it fails to give a new perspective of a travel. It doesn’t sound like anything interesting to set aside hours and spend money to go to theatre to watch the movie. I think the teaser fails on it’s purpose to excite the viewers to go to watch the film.
If the producers had wanted to tell who are in the film, they could have release a song -that would be a lot more effective advertisement.
While music videos of songs get millions of views in a couple of days, the item song of popular actress and item dancer, Sushma Karki didn’t get much views in it’s initial days.
The item song of upcoming movie ‘Gupt’ titled “Ma Aankh Maridinchu” got a lukewarm support from the viewers. While others are showing-off millions of views, the cover art of the song (proudly) shows 100K views, and features a hot photo of the actress. It is interesting, the photo on the cover is not even from the it represents.
Does that mean, the days of Sushma Karki are over?
But, when I looked in the comments in the song, most of them are positive and at the time of this writing the views stats is 152,113 views with 1.7K likes and only 264 dislikes. I think, the video will get a better viewership in coming day (finger crossed).
The heart of Paras Shah is the heart of the Nepali royal blood. But, it seems, the royal heart is not as strong as believed. In medical terms, the royal heart suffers attacks.
Starting King Tribhuwan, all the monarchs had heart attack and heart failures. Tribhuwan died of heart failure, his son King Mahendra died from the same cause. Tribhuwan’s grandson King Birendra had also suffered from heart attack in 1998. But, Birendra died in royal massacre.
The next king, King Gyanendra also suffered heart attack in 2014. He was hospitalized in 2017.
Paras is the only son of King Gyanendra. So, Paras has the similar heart when compared to hsi parents, grand parents and the great great grandparent.

Jung Bahadur died 59 years old. He first got married when he was 10 years old. That makes – 48 years of his married life. He got a new wife almost every year. Despite of these strange facts, Jung Bahadur was a dedicated and loyal lover. He fell in love with the younger sister of his first wife – Gajendralaxmi.
But, Gajendralaxmi’s father wouldn’t let Jung Bahadur marry her and he married her off with another guy. I wrote about the love story in my previous post (Read the strange love story of Jung Bahadur). Now, let’s dive into 42 “known” wives of the dictator.
Jung Bahadur would find a way to get everything he wanted; whether it is a person or the power. He killed the prime minister to declare himself the prime minister of Nepal. He also tried to make himself the king, but failed. When it comes to women – he would get all of those he liked. He would woo them or if they are unwilling he would abduct them and bring to his palace. That was what he did Gajendralaxmi. He snatched Gajendralaxmi from her husband.
The actor couple – Priyanka Karki and Ayushman Desraj Joshi have decided to start a foundation under Ayanaka name. They are working actively in developing and working to help in the welfare of children, health and cleanliness.
On his birthday, Miss Nepal 2018, Shrinkhala Khatiwada shared some childhood photos of her brother. Most of the users have appreciated her sharing those cute photos, others have told that they wouldn’t like a sibling to share their bathing photos in social media.
This is a very strange and ambitious love story. The story has everything – a desire, promise, tragedy, reunion and love. It would certainly be a super-hit film if made properly. The love of one of the most ruthless and powerful person in Nepal. A brave, strategist and successful person, Jung Bahadur was also a great lover.

This is an example how he obtained everything he desired for. It is really interesting how far he could go to achieve what he wants. For the girl he was attracted to, he did everything from asking for, fighting for and stealing her from her lawful husband. Although he was strong and successful, he didn’t take advantage of her. Instead, he fulfilled everything he promised her – even an impossible promise – to make her a queen.
To make his girlfriend a queen, he snatched the power from the prime minister by killing him. He resigned and declared himself the king. But, nobody accepted him the king. In the mean time, Jung Bahadur had appointed his brother the prime minister of Nepal. When, his attempt to become the king was unsuccessful – his prime minister brother died in a mysterious circumstance in less than a year of being appointed the prime minister – opening a path for Jung Bahadur to become the prime minister again.
