Three new movies releasing this week

Three new movie ‘Rakshya’, ‘Katha’, and ‘Love in China Border’ are going to release in theaters all over Nepal on March 22.

The controversial director Raju Giri‘s ‘Rakshya’ was dragged into controversy after releasing shooting photos of bed scenes and hot posters. Later, the bed scene was removed from the movie and the posters were also redesigned. As a result, the censor board has awarded it with a ‘PG’ certificate – suitable for children on adult supervision. The movie features Rajesh Hamal, Poojana Pradhan, Ashok Phuyal, and Sarika Ghimire in main roles. The story is written by Prakash Dhital, music composed by Arjun Pokharel and cinematography of Rameshowr Karki.

Poojana Pradhan featured in new looks in ‘Mero Katha’

Actress Poojana Pradhan is going to be featured in new looks in her upcoming movie ‘Mero Katha’. The movie features the actress in a village looks. In the movie Poojana and Aayush Rijal are featured as guest artists.

The producer of the movie, Rabindra Baral, is also working as a fight director and cameraman in the movie.

‘Rakshya’ poster changed after Poojana objected

The first look poster of ‘Rakshya’ was promptly changed after Poojana Pradhan objected on her photo being without clothes on the poster. The new poster is similar except Poojana has a garment wrapped around her torso.

By the instant change of the poster it seems, the designer was expecting the objection from Poojana and was well prepared to change the poster. In the online world, it is not easy to replace a poster by another as both will continue to
circulate.

Shiva Shrestha won the Lifetime Achievement Award

Actress Rekha Thapa was awarded the best actress award for her role in ‘Kasle Choryo Mero Man’ in Box Office Film Award 2069, held on Friday December 7, 2012 in Dubai. Rekha was also the best actress in Viewer’s Choice. Among actors, Rajesh Hamal won the Viewer’s Choice award and Aryan Sigdel won the best actor award. Producer Chhabi Raj Ojha was awarded the viewer’s choice award (producer). The best movie was declared to be ‘Bato Muni Ko Phool’. Best movie in Viewer’s Choice category was ‘First Love’. The best director award was awarded to Suraj Subba for ‘Bato Muni Ko Phool’. In the event, awards in 31 different categories were awarded.

Actor Shiva Shrestha was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. Other actors honored during the ceremony include actor Bhuwan KC, Suman Singh, Mohankrishna Shrestha, Madhukar Shrestha, and Sunil Manandhar.

Nepali movie ‘Chandrawati’ is releasing onÂ November 30, 2012. The movie directed by Raju Giri features Rajesh Hamal, Aayush Rijal, and Sashi Khadka in leading roles. After a long vacation in the US to celebrate Dashain and Tihar, Nepali Superstar Rajesh Hamal returned back to Nepal on November 21, 2012. Rajesh Hamal had left Nepal on October and he had celebrated the festival of brothers and sisters, Tihar festival, with his sisters living in the US, after a long time.

While in the US Rajesh Hamal partic

Poojana Stri to produce movies

Poojana Stri, previously known as Poojana Pradhan, has become the latest actress to debut as a producer. Poojana started her entertainment career as a model and then she started acting in movies. In the last few years, Poojana has started some businesses and has also been involved in spiritual and social works.

Poojana has registered her production company named Poojana Films and the firs movie she will produce is titled ‘Namaste Dubai’. The movie will feature Nepali workers in Dubai. Poojan
a has claimed that in addition to this movie, she has also prepared stories for her next two ventures.

The shooting of the movie will be done in Dubai and she has already received the shooting license from Media City. For the selection of the shooting spots Poojana had visited Dubai on September 13 and she had returned back last week to finalize other things. The movie will feature six lead actors including Ashish Purush and Rajkumar Neupane. Among the actresses Sandhya Bhandari and Poojana herself are finalized. The director and cinematographer of the movie are yet to be finalized.

Popular model and actress Poojana Pradhan is known as Poojana Stri these days, quite a different name from her original/official identity. Neither Poojana nor Pradhan nor Stri are in her official documents.

Poojana PradhanÂ actually is Gurung by birth, not Pradhan. Poojana’s mother Uma Pradhan and father Khadga Bahadur Gurung decided to divorce when Poojana was a little kid. When her dad married another woman she started living with the single mom.Â Being with the Pradhan mom, it never came to her that she has to write Gurung as her last name. Her parents named her Puja in her childhood.

Poojana Pradhan's bikini photos removed

After the threat to sue the modeling website cybersansar.com, model turned actress Poojana Pradhan’s photos were removed from the website. Poojana has told that the website is misusing the photos.

The photos in question were shot in bikini in the banks of Narayani river. The hot photos are considered to be the ones that established her in the modeling and eventually as an actress. While talking about the signature photos she told that – they were good enough to start with but now, as a established actress she can’t afford to have such bikini clad photos around.
