Popular Indian model, Poonam Pandey, is visiting Nepal to watch the World Cup Football with Nepali viewers in a club in Kathmandu. According to a video Poonam shared, she is visiting Kathmandu on June 15 to watch the World Cup final between Crotia and France at Club Deja Vu.

Poonam has told that she loves Nepali people and she has also promised to offer a surprise gift to Nepali viewers if the team she supports win the World Cup. There is no information about what the surprise gift might be.

Bad timing of ‘Mukhauta’ release, World Cup stole the charm

Multi-starrer, huge publicity, big red-carpet premier – all these things didn’t help viewers to go to the theater to watch the movie ‘Mukhauta’. One of the most plausible reason – the date of the release and the start of once-in-four-years, FIFA World Cup happened at the same time.

The movie release date’s two weeks delay has been bad omen for the movie. In a report, the first day of release occupancy was only 30 percent. The reason a movie featuring well known artists like Rajesh Hamal, Rabin Tamang, Sunil Thapa, Nisha Adhikari wasn’t attractive to the audience might be more than just the World Cup.

India Won the World Cup – Poonam Pandey suggested Paris for the ‘private show’

The Indian cricket fans are happy for their win after loosing for the last 27 years. But, some are disappointed due to Poonam Pandey’s decision to respect the ‘Indian values’ and not strip in front of them – sort of an April Fool’s joke.

The Indian cricket team has won the Cricket World Cup after 28 years. And, as promised Poonam Pandey is planning a strip tease show for the team if BCCI approves and arranges for the feat. Poonam however was forced to switched off her phone when she got variety of calls, some full of threaten and others requesting her to fulfill her promise.

Poonam is still willing to perform her show for the team if the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) approves and arranges the venue. It looks like, Poonam is not confident such shows will be approved by the public in India. So, she has proposed to do it in a bit more liberal places like a French city, Paris.

In Indian model is in dilemma whether to keep her promise or not amidst increasing pressure from her fans (asking her to keep her promise), criticism, and even the looming threat of moral policing from Shiva Sena.

19 year old model Poonam Pandey had promised to bare all if the Indian national team wins the World Cup 2011. Her wish has come true, and her fans are drooling to get a glimpse of her ‘promise’.

Poonam, a 5’7″ tall model, featured in India’s best-selling swimwear calendar, had said previously that she wanted to provide an incentive to the Indian team players by baring all. It is not known if her offer will be welcomed or not.

Although Poonam says that she is a diehard supporter of Indian team and it was not a publicity stunt, the widespread media attention has been no less than one. The Times of India featured a photograph of Poonam wearing a skimpy bikini.

And, it was the World Cup in South Africa where she was told to be arrested after the match between Brazil and Netherlandsâ€Ž.

When the news of her arrest spread like wild fire, Paris told in her Twitter post – â€œEverything is fine guys. I had nothing to do with itâ€¦â€

World Cup 2010 to be screened at the Stadium in Kathmandu

The World Cup football is one of the most sought after international games in Nepal. There was an outcry when Nepal government decided to increase the load shedding hours from 42 hours to 54 hours per week on June 12, 2010. The cable operators have been switching off all the sports channels and only one Nepali TV broadcaster is allowed to telecast the games live.

There is however one good news. The Final of the world cup is coming to the Dasarath Stadium in Kathmandu â€¦ through five big screen television sets.

Nepal National and International Players Association (NNIPA) and Growth Sellers Consultancy have teamed-up to broadcast World Cup 2010 live from South Africa, in Dasarath Stadium, Kathmandu.

The final of World Cup2010 started on Friday and our Prime Minister, Madhav Nepal, has found a perfect opportunity to take revenge of his defeat in the election â€“ by imposing added load shedding during the games.

In other countries the government is accountable to the people it rules â€“ as the government is run by the leaders elected by the people. Our country is an exception, with majority of the cabinet members defeated in the election. All of them should be searching to take revenge with the people who didn’t vote them in the election.

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has increased load-shedding hours from 42 hours to 54 hours a week, with effect from Monday.
