About ‘Lootera’

A presentation of Shree Gaanesh Films by Gopal Kayastha, Nepali movie ‘Lootera’ is the second movie of Nikhil Upreti after his comeback in ‘Bhairav’. Both ‘Bhairav’ and ‘Lootera’ were successful and these two movies are credited for the successful comeback of Nikhil Upreti in Nepali film industry. ‘Lootera’ was released on November 13, 2015.

The script of the movie ‘Lootera’ is written by Maunata Shrestha, cinematography of Shiva Dhakal, music of Basanta Sapkota, action of Himal KC, choreography of Kabiraj Gahatraj, Ramji Lamichhane, and Raju Shah. The movie features the editing of Banish Shah.

Namrata Shrestha became the best actress for the 4th time this year. Who are the LG films Award 2016 winners?

In an event held in Kathmandu on September 8, 2016 actress Namrata Shrestha had been awarded the fourth award for her role in ‘Classic’.

Namrata Shrestha was awarded the best actress award in:

  1. National Film Award 2016 (Winners of National Film Awards)
  2. FAAN 2016 (Winners of FAAN Award)
  3. D Cine Award 2016 (Winners of D Cine Award)
  4. LG Films Award 2016 (This post)

The best actor award winner Dayahang Rai has also won the award two times. In other two times, Namrata’s partner in ‘Classic’ Aryan Sigdel was awarded. The best movie award was handed over to ‘Pashupati Prasad’.

Who is Chhulthim Gurung? She is debuting Rekha Thapa in a negative role!

In the debut production of actress, Chhulthim Gurung, actress Rekha Thapa is going to be featured in a negative role. (Read the news I wrote about ‘Diarry’ announcement ceremony a while ago).

Now, let’s talk about the 10 things you didn’t know about Chhulthim Gurung:

Chhulthim Gurung debuted as an actress in ‘November Rain’. Chhulthim’s role in the movie was appreciated and she was nicknamed ‘Dalli’ after the character she was featured in the movie. Chhulthim also won various awards for the role.
