The movie is a family movie featuring the daughter, Suhana, in leading role while the director is the mother, actress Jharana Thapa. The producer of the movie is the father Sunil Kumar Thapa. The family is currently showing the movie in various countries including UK, Hong Kong, USA and Canada.

After, Priyanka was questioned on her Cannes 2019 performance, she has kept herself silent for a while. Keeping silent is not something Priyanka does often. After days of silence, Priyanka shared an interview video without any details on who the interviewer is and for what TV or online the interview as taken. The setting looks like a lobby with a couple in people in the background.
When Priyanka Karki left Nepal to participate in the 72nd Cannes Film Festival in France, she claimed that a new history was going to be made at the festival. She claimed to be the first ever actress to participate in the festival. But, it turned out, she was lying. It is quite disturbing that she had knowingly lied about the whole thing.
In the beginning Priyanka told:
Like some normal people, we believed her and were very happy on her representation of our country. Then things started to go out of sync. Priyanka started copying Bollywood celebrities style.
I thought, that was her love to Priyanka Chopra and being her die-hard fan, Karki was trying to be Chopra at the festival (now, I am not sure if that was a sign of inferiority complex.)

Actress Priyanka Karki is in Cannes to participate in the Red Carpet shows of some of the films. Her to-be-husband, Ayushman Desraj Joshi is in Thailand. Ayushman has expressed his love for the country in trio-posts in his Instagram. I found them interesting and am sharing them here.
Today is the big day for the Nepali film and entertainment industry. For the first time, Nepali actress, Priyanka Karki is making the Red Carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival, France.
On May 21, 2019 Priyanka wrote, “Making my first red carpet appearance tonight and lord knows how excited I am. This is huge for all of us and I promise to make you guys proud!” She also shared a pass showing “Gisaengghung de Bong Joon-ho”.
Gisaengchung is a South Korean drama film directed by Bong Joon-ho.
For the first time in the history of Nepali film industry, actress Priyanka Karki has become the first representative to go to the festival.

The Cannes Festival was called the International Film Festival (Festival international du film) until 2002. Now, Cannes Film Festival, is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France, which previews new films of all genres, including documentaries from all around the world.
The festival was founded in 1946, the invitation-only festival is held annually (usually in May) at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. It is one of the “Big Three” alongside the Venice Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival.
The 2019 Cannes Film Festival is taking place between 14 and 25 May 2019. Mexican filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu has been named the jury president of this year’s festival.

This is a rare incident – journalist Rabi Lamichhane and Nekita Poudel got married in a private ceremony held at Mystique Mountain Resort in Nagarkot. The place is also near the birth place of Lamichhane. It is interesting that, Rabi had gone and lived in the place to celebrate his honeymoon with his wife Nekita in Februaty at the same resort.
When they went there, it was snowing a lot. Rabi had shared a live video of the place and he had shared photos of the couple at the place at that time. That was the time after Rabi and Nekita had got married in court. So, they were officially married at that time. The new Miss Nepal, Anushka Shrestha, is an accounting graduate working in Australia. She had arrived in Nepal the day before the orientation of Miss Nepal. She got a direct entry in the contest as she was Miss Nepal Oceania 2018.
After winning the crown Anushka wrote :
The new Miss Nepal is from Australia – Anushka Shrestha. A Bachelor graduate working in Sydney, Australia has won the Miss Nepal title and will be representing Nepal in Miss World competition.

The event was held at the premise of Laboratory School on May 9, 2019. Out of the 25 contestants, 14 were selected first then 7 were the finalist of the contest. Out of the 7, 5 were selected to represent Nepal to the International beauty contests.

Although 4 different people of the Nepali film industry got married today on May 7, 2019 it was only two marriages. Two directors married today. One director married the actress of one of his films, ‘Aishwarya’ and another director married the producer of her directorial debut film ‘Intu Mintu Londonma’.
It was not a surprise event because it was a well known fact that they were seeing each other for some time. The relationship between the choreographer Renasha Bantawa Rai and the producer Prajwal SJB Rai had been a decade old. They had been working together in movies for a long time. Renasha is a well known choreographer and she is doing second movie as a director too. The success of Intu Mintu Londonma has helped Nepali film industry find another hit director.
The relationship between Diwakar Bhattarai and his actress in ‘Aishwarya’, Deepika Prasain flourished during the shooting of the movie. They went to court and got married even before the film was complete. They got engaged in an official ceremony a while ago. Diwakar Bhattarai is one of the most successful directors of the film industry. After the success of ‘Jatra’, ‘Aishwarya’ and ‘Captain’ he is one of the most sought after directors of the Nepali film industry. Deepika is also considered an actress with potential.
As all the four are known to be successful person in their field, it seems, these two couple will rule the film industry in the coming days. The only other successful couple in the film industry that I can recall is Swastima Khadka and Nischal Basnet.
Congratulation to both couple and wish them a long and fun filled relationship.

Miss Nepal 2019 grand finale is being held on May 9, 2019 (Baisakh 26, 2076) at Laboratory H.S. School premises in Kritipur. The ticket to the event costs Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 3,000. The ticket to the event is available to purchase online through mobile banking system. This year is an special event for the beauty contest because, it is the 25th year of the start of the contest. The contest started in 1994 to send Nepali contestants to international beauty contests. In the 25 years, the contests were held every year except in the year 2001, 2006 and 2008. In the year 1997 two Miss Nepal contests were held in the same year – one by the original organizer, Kathmandu Jaycees and another by The Hidden Treasure, the current organizer. After that year, Kathmandu Jaycees ceases to organize the event on its own.
