INAS Award Top 3 Nomination, to be held in Sikkim

The nominations of the fourth edition of INAS Film Award, to be held in Gangtok, Sikkim on Kartik 24, were released on November 4, 2016. There are three nominations on each of 19 different categories. The award is being organized by the International Nepali Artist Association (INAS). In the award movies released in 2015 and released till April 15 of 2016 were included. ‘Classic’ has led the list with nominations in 9 categories, ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ follows with 6 categories and ‘Pashupati Prasad’ in 5 categories. These three movies are also the top three movies in the nomination.

Kabaddi wins NFDC Film Awards (full list of winners)

Aryan and Priyanka become the best actors

The 3rd edition of NFDC Film Award ceremony was held in Kathmandu on September 12 at Hotel Hayat in Boudha. TIn the ceremony ‘Kabaddi’ was awarded the best movie of the year 2071. Actor Aryan Sigdel was awarded the best actor for his role in ‘November Rain’ and actress Priyanka Karki was awarded the Best actress for her role in ‘Suntali’.

The best director award was handed over to the director of ‘Kabaddi’, Ram Babu Gurung. The full list of winners is as follows:

Nisha Adhikari and Sharad Veshwkar breakup?

In a latest report, the actress Nisha Adhikari and her cricketer boyfriend have broken up. The rumor as surfaced as Nisha suddenly headed to the USA for a vacation on Saturday. Her travel was revealed when Nisha shared a status on her transit in Abu Dhabi. (read about to rumor in Nepaliactress.com)

In the Facebook status, Nisha has avoided the questions about the breakup rumors although she has replied to other queries. Her silence, sort-of, confirms the problem in the relationship.

As a lot of Nepali actors have relocated to the USA in the past, question arises if Nisha has a long term plan of living there. Her filmy career in Nepal hasn’t been that much exciting as she has failed give any commercially successful movie, so far.

Aavash to release again on June 19

After the release of ‘Chha Ekan Chha’ to help earthquake victims, another movie by producer Gobinda Shahi is also releasing again. The movie previously released on January 9, ‘Aavash’ is releasing again on June 19 (Friday, Ashad 4).

The movie directed by Surendra Poudel, ‘Aavash’ features Samyam Puri, Nisha Adhikari, Ashma DC and Salon Basnet in leading roles. Shahi has told that the proceeds of the the movie show will be spent in the building earthquake damaged buildings in remote Nepal. Shahi told that the movie was successful at the time of its initial release.

Friday Release, Aavash, Alvida, and Tathastu

Three new Nepali movies are releasing on this Friday, January 9, 2014. Rekha Thapa‘s ‘Tathastu’, Samyam Puri‘s ‘Aavash’ and Aryan Sigdel‘s ‘Alvida’ are the movies fighting to attract the viewers.

Aavash

Targeted to the youths, Nepali film ‘Aavash’ is directed by Surendra Poudel featuring actors Samyam Puri, Ashma DC, Nisha Adhikari, Salon Basnet, and Sunil Rawal in main roles. Made on a youth love story the story of the film is written by the director himself in association with Hemraj BC. The online couple Samyam Puri and Ashma DC were actually in love relationship offline. But, in a latest report, they have separated on mutual understanding. Samyam is currently busy in the shooting of another movie so, he hasn’t participated in the promotion of the movie.
