Three new Nepali movies are releasing on theater on Friday, May 6, 2016. The movie made on the Maoist civil war, ‘Rolpa Rog’, an ancient story movie ‘Uhile Bajeko Palama’ and a social drama movie ‘Aawara’ have released in theater today.

Nepali movie ‘Tadap’ is a presentation of Mata Krishnamaya Smriti Films by Jiwan Thapa. The movie was released on March 16, 2012 in theaters out of Kathamndu and on September 28, 2012 in theaters in Kathmandu (release details in Films of Nepal). The movie produced by Bibek Thapa and Ayusman Basnet features the dance of Pradip Shrestha / dinesh Adhikari, fight of Dev Maharjan, cinematography of Devendra Hurhur and editing of Ishowor Koirala / Prakash Pokharel.
The movie ‘Papi Manche’ is produced by Raj Kumar Rai for RC Pictures and is made on the story and script of Ugesh Rayamajhi. After the huge success of this film, a sequel ‘Papi Manche 2’ was also produced (watch ‘Papi Manche 2’ here) with Nikhil and Poojana Pradhan. Rajesh Hamal is featured in special appearance. Narayan Puri and NB Maharjan are guest artists. A Nepal Police dog named Hero and a monkey named Shyamu from Mumbai are also the leading characters in the film.
The short movie by Nepali Motion Pictures is written by the director Parichhed Sen. The music is composed by Santosh Shrestha, background music by DJ LX, cinematography by Udit Sapkota, editor is Arjun GC and the singer is Prem Pariyar.
A presentation of Dilip Rayamajhi, Nepali movie ‘Hami Sathi Bhai’ is made under the banner of Shreya Films. The script of the movie is written by the director Rabi Aryal. The cinematographer of the movie is Raj Bikram Thapa and is produced by Sunil Datt, art by Niruta Singh, music by Suresh Adhikari, action by NB Maharjan, editing by Banish Shah, and choreography by Basanta Shrestha.
The Nepali movie ‘Amar Preeti’ is the fifth presentation of Jaya Shree Budha Subba. Ramesh Ingnam is a new presentation in the movie. Choreography by Dinesh Pakhrin, cinematography by Mahendra Thapa, editing by Tara Thapa ‘Kimbhey’.
This week on December 11, 2015, two new Nepali movies are released in theater – ‘Lati’ and ‘Agni’. Unlike other movies at the time of the release, these movies were not promoted much. The movie ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ is still running in theater with considerable viewers in its third week of release. The last week’s release ‘Chocolate’ has lost some theater because of less interest in viewers. ‘Chocolate’ actress and producer Poojana has expressed her surprise in the last of viewers in spite of excessive promotion of the movie.

The second biggest festival in Nepal after Dashain, Tihar has been wrapped up on Friday November 13. The last day of Tihar – Bhai Tika is celebrated by brothers and sisters to show their love and dedication to each other. On the occasion, despite of economic blockade from India, people have followed the tradition. Update
The beauty of Bhai Tika is that people make new brothers and sisters during the festival. For example, Takme Budha (Wilson Bikram Rai) and Ashma DC and Sanyukta Puri, Jal Shah and Bikrant Basnet, Nisha Sunar and Suman Budha Magar, Naresh Bhattarai and Sapana Chamling Rai became new brothers/sisters this year.
Singer, journalist and actress Komal Oli made this year’s Bhai Tika memorable by presenting 2-litres petrol to each of her brothers. At the time of petrol-crisis in Nepal, that would certainly made the happiest brothers.
Comedy actress Palpasa Dangol, popularly known as Chamsuri has urine infection and was rushed to emergency room in Teaching Hospital right before Bhai Tika. As she had to be treated in the hospital, her brothers visited Dangol in hospital bed to take Bhai Tika. Palpasa has told that that was one of the most memorable Bhai Tika in her life.
A cultural program titled “Nepali Pan Nepali Maan Ramailo Sanjh” with Nepali artists was organized at Salt Lake City, Utah on November 1. The program was special in the sense that actress Jal Shah organized the program and actor Rajesh Hamal was the chief guest from Nepal.
With Rajesh Hamal the program also featured actor Dilip Rayamajhi, actress Arunima Lamsal, singer Ram Krishna Dhaka, singer Yam Baral, singer Nisha Sunar, singer Sangita Thapa Magar and others. Other artists include choreographer Nabin KC and Luna Shrestha.
Nepali movie ‘Achanak’ is a presentation of the producer Saroj Sharma Tirupati Pictures. The script of the movie is written by the director Deshbhakta Khanal. The movie was released in theatre in 2011.
Jeshika Khadka is introduced in a new name in the movie. The actress previously known as Jyoti Khadka had changed her name to Jeshika after her sex scandal with comedy singer, Prakash Ojha. The actress later committed suicide.
