The folk singer Manju Mahat couldn’t be saved after the deadly accident, in spite of the efforts of the doctors involved in the treatment. The death of the singer has raised the concern of traffic safety and speed control Nepal. The place where the accident happened is one of the busiest parts in the capital.
Manju was 23 years old at the time of her death. Manju is married and has a 1.5-years-old child.
Days after actor and magician Madhav Tripathi was accused of human trafficking of Nepali girls to African Mujra bars, another actor Dinesh Sharma has been accused of cheating 340 individuals by promising to take them to Belgium.
The actor is accused of issuing fake identification card of the Nepal Artist Association and cheating in various ways. The team of Sharma including Mithu Shrestha and Prakash Aryal are accused of cheating Rs. 40 million in promised foreign employment.
Singer Manju Mahat has sustained serious injuries and is in coma in a hospital in Kathmandu after an accident. Manju’s left foot had to be amputated and both of her kidneys are damaged.
Manju was travelling in her scooter when two microbuses crashed on her. She was squeezed in between the two buses.
Actress Jharana Thapa has told that she has turned 35 on March 27, 2014. The wife of producer Sunil Kumar Thapa, Jharana celebrated birthday by cutting a cake.
In the evening, Jharana invited close friends and family members to celebrate birthday.
On Monday, the daughter of Dhurmus (Sitaram Kattel) and Suntali (Kunjana Ghimire) was named amongst a traditional naming ceremony – Nwaran. The priest suggested the name to start with ‘Do’ according to the location of celestial bodies at the time of the birth of the child.

Although Dhurmus has jokingly stated calling the mother Donisha’s Mother, the name of the child can still be changed for the day-to-day use.
The central police office of Nepal Police has started an investigation on the use of the police uniforms in the shooting of ‘Himmatwali’ without seeking prior approval. According to a report, Rekha Thapa had failed to obtained a written approval before using any police uniforms.
In ‘Himmatwali’ businessman, Dinesh Bhandari is featured as a Police IGP and a journalist, Rajendra Nath, is featured as a Police DIG. The actors had posted their photos in uniform in Facebook.
UPDATE: Sunny has stated, “Love it here in Nepal! So relaxing and enlightening to learn about this culture and city!” She went to Swyambhunath Temple and shared some photos of her visit.

‘Ragini MMS 2’ star and Canadin adult actress Sunny Leone has arrived in Kathmandu on a personal visit. In an unconfirmed report, Sunny was invited by some young entrepreneurs. After debuting in ‘Jism 2’, ‘Ragini MMS 2’ is Sunny’s third Hindi movie.
Hours before she landed in Kathmandu airport, Sunny had tweeted her plan to visit the city. After landing, she directly went to a suite booked at Soltae Hotel. She was invited to the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), Nepal Chapter meeting held in the Hotel.
Sunny is planning to visit the touristic attraction places in Kathmandu and return back to Mumbai on Monday.

After being absent from the big screen movies for a long time, the comedy duo MaHa (Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya) is going to be featured in an upcoming movie titled ‘Gherabandi’. The comedy duo have agreed to do the role after going through the script prepared by by Shivam Adhikari. It was the result of a year-long effort of Shivam.
In a report published in Saptahik weekly, actor, dancer and magician Madhav Tripathi is accused of trafficking Nepali girls to Mujra bars in African countries. We had written about the Kantipur report of Nepali artists being traficked to the African countries.
In the report by Devendra Bhattarai had met a girl in the airport in Delhi, who claim to be Madhav Tripathi’s wife. She told that she was going to the African country for the training of international dance.
The song of upcoming movie ‘Hasiya’, shot on a set constructed by spending Rs. 1 million has released. The item dance featuring actress Hema Shrestha and Priyanka Karki is made on the voice of Shivani Moktan. ‘Aaja ko raatama …’ is written by Nilam Rai, music by Kalyan Singh.
The director Milan Chams says that the item song also feature action scenes as the movie is an action flick. Lead actress Hema is featured in action role in the movie. With Hema the movie also features Rajesh Hamal and Anup Bikram Shahi in main roles.
For the upcoming movie of Surya Bohora, ‘Thuli’ actress Garima Pant is learning fighting. The actress Pant will be featured as the central character, Thuli, in the movie. The actors opposite to Garima in the movie is Jiwan Luitel.
This is the first time Garima is featured in action role. To make the acting easier, Garima is currently training in martial arts. The movie is being produced jointly by the director Bohara and Sunil Basnet. Shooting of the movie is scheduled to start on Sunday, Chaitra 9 (March 23) and will be shot in locations in Chitwan, Baglung, Beni and Jomsom area.
After Nepali cricket team won the match against Hong Kong and lost to Bangladesh (before Nepal won the game against Afghanistan) actress Jiya KC called cricketer Paras Khadka a hero. She also told, "If I get to do a movie with Paras Khadka, I will do it for free."
She told, "If I meet Paras, I would kiss him on the cheek. Well, I don’t want to talk about any other things that can happen."
Two more actresses, Priyanka Karki and Ashishma Nakarmi have signed in the upcoming movie of Deepa Basnet, ‘Shree Panch Ambare’. Earlier, actress Keki Adhikari and actor Saugat Malla were finalized to lead in the movie.
All three actresses are considered the new actresses with potential in Nepali movie industry. All three actresses are the busiest actresses in the Nepali movie industry.

Well, we also heard of her recently and were surprised that she has already done four new movies well before the release of any of them. In addition to the movies she has done so far, she is also getting offers for more movies.
Samikshya says that the reason she has got so many offers is her talent. She debuted in the movie ‘Action’ while she was still in the acting training class. After that, she acted in ‘Kale’, ‘Paap’ and the last movie she did was Raju Giri‘s ‘Tiger the Real Hero’.
In a latest report, Shyam Bhattarai has told that there is a third person who is responsible in creating problem in the relationship between Rekha Thapa and himself. In report, Shyam and Rekha have patched up and have agreed not to express their dissatisfaction publicly.
According to a report in Merocinema, the disabled actor – Sudarshan Gautam is told to be involved in creating the issue between the producer and the director of the movie. The report says – Sudarshan has invested in the movie and he didn’t like Shyam Bhattarai so, he had asked Rekha to remove him. The website says that Rekha and Sudarshan are having an affair. Although Rekha is the official producer of the movie, Sudarshan has actually taken over all the production responsibility of the movie.
